Not sure how many fans she/they will have on here but there's a new single out and I think it's really good.

Nice to see she selected Markus Dravs as producer for this album. Great mind and one of the best in the game at the moment. Did great work with Coldplay and Arcade Fire.

I love her sicne the first album, but I'm not too excited about this new single after hearing it. It's ok, but I was expecting something more.
Oh, and the video is utter shite. What's up with all this "50 Shades of Gray"-ish crap?

She's a big fan of Arcade Fire and I think that comes across in a fair bit of her music so not too surprised she chose Markus Dravs. Good choice though, reckon it will work well.

I think she has some special quality, not just in the context of today`s music... Her music is real art, unlike many acts of today

New song: not very impressed by this one, to be honest...

I quite like it, but it's a bit of a strange choice as a single.

It looks like I am the only one writing in this thread Anyway, this is Ship to Wreck from yesterday's Jools Holland. She's absolutely terrific live...

I didn't think she was that great on Jools actually, though no one ever is on there. I thought What Kind of Man came across better than Ship to Wreck.

Another new one. This sounds good, probably my second favourite of the new ones so far after What Kind of Man.

Most of what we've heard from this new album is pretty solid. I'm looking forward to it, because she's been gone for so long. I hope the material continues to be good. I don't know if anything she does will have the instant magic of her debut because it truly was one of kind back in 09. Its probably one of the most influential albums of the past decade. Her second was a bit bloated but it still had some outstanding moments on it.
I've seen her twice at festivals back in 2011 and 2012. One time was in a tent the other time she was headlining one of the larger stages. She was an absolute force both times.

I'm expecting a stream over the next couple of days. We've heard 5 songs off it now so not too bothered if we have to wait a week though

Lung is one of the best pop albums in recent memory. One of the most influential of the past 5-6 years for sure with those drum sounds. Her second is pretty good as well it just sounds a little too big at times. It can be a pretty exhausting listen.

I've listened to it a couple of times and it's really good. Most of the best stuff on it I'd already heard (though we have heard almost half the album already!) but Queen of Peace and Mother are great too. Overall it's a really solid album and possibly her best.

Here are my first thoughts after a couple more listens. The first half of the album is excellent, but it stalls a bit after Delilah...
Great: How Big How Blue How Beautiful Queen of Peace
Very good: Delilah Ship to Wreck Mother
Good: What Kind of Man Various Storms and Saints
"Meh": Long & Lost Caught
Crappy: Third Eye St. Jude

Hmm, I don't disagree that there's a slight lull after Delilah but I think Long & Lost and Caught are still good songs. It picks up again with St. Jude and Mother.
If I was putting them into your ratings I'd go
Great What Kind of Man Queen of Peace Delilah
Very Good How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful St. Jude Mother
Good Ship to Wreck Long & Lost Caught
Meh Third Eye Various Saints & Storms

So, 'Ship to Wreck' isn't the best song on this album?
Considering getting the album, love 'Ship to Wreck'.
Thanks.

I don't think I've seen anyone say Ship to Wreck is the best on it, though it's still a good song. The album is definitely worth a listen, her best yet and I think it might appeal to people who maybe weren't as into her older stuff.
