WAIT A MINUTE?!?!?!!?? I got stuck at check out!! I was literally there waiting and waiting and waiting and then it was gone!!! this has NEVER happened before. I need two tickets...I have an out of towner coming specifically for this gig as well. Keep refreshing the page. If you got to the check out, they should have kept the tickets for you. Nada. You might have fallen into that lucky loop hole.

I think it was stupid for them to have a presale for a 1500 capacity venue!

Speaking of old British rockers playing NYC.......
I am shocked to see Paul Weller attempt to play Terminal 5. That's a big ass and ugly venue. Beady Eye couldn't even fill half it. Not sure what Weller is thinking playing that place. Webster Hall or Irving Plaza are more of his stature in America.

If Noel's people are reading this, never use TicketWeb again. It's a shit website. It's the pizza burn at the roof of the mouth of websites. Its not up to his people. Its because he's playing Webster Hall (all WH shows go through Ticketweb). Venues have deals with who sells the tickets, not artists. I got mine with no problem, but there are a lot of people complaining all over the place.

Paul Weller has a lot of fans who don't give a shit about the Gallaghers or other British acts. The Jam was huge back in the day and a lot of his fans range older. He's also played Best Buy Theatre and the Apollo in recent years and sold very well to those gigs. Heck I think he played 2 nights at Best Buy. Terminal 5 is fine for him in this city. Don't compare his fanbase to Beady Eye lol. Weller also added a 2nd show at MHOW in Brooklyn a week later www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2015/02/paul_weller_rel_2.html

Beady gig was packed what show were u at?? Beady Eye was packed and sold out at Webster Hall in June 2011. They did not come close to selling out Terminal 5 later that December. Ground floor was half full and the second and third levels near empty. I went with four friends. Only two of us had tickets. They were gonna scalp at the door but on our walk to the front door, a promoter of some sorts literally gave my two friends free tickets. We asked why, they said the band wants as many people inside as possible.

I FINALLY GOT MY TWO TICKETS. Had to contact an old class mate of mine from NYU who works in the record industry.
Ended up doing a ticket buy through email with Webster hall's VP. They have a ton of tickets stashed away for media/friends etc.
thank fuck! what a stressful day. If he would have announced a second night (which is possible) I don't think I could go through that stress again.

I don't recall that. Mostly remember Webster Hall, Highline, Nokia, Music Hall of Williamsburg. Big difference between the Apollo which holds 1,500 people and Best Buy which holds maybe 2,000. Terminal 5 is over 3,000. This is the same guy who a couple of years ago couldn't sell out the Highline Ballroom and that holds under a 1,000 or Nokia Theater which is now I believe Best Buy. Don't get me wrong, I know he has an audience and there are plenty of Brits operating out of NYC but I just think Terminal 5 might be a bridge too far.

Best Buy is 2100 according to their website. 2 nights at Best Buy = more than 4000 tickets. The Apollo show was a special deal, but the fact that he got a gig there speaks volumes. Thats not an easy venue to book. Look up "Wellerheads", they travel for him. He's not here just for locals. The differences in numbers are negligent. Terminal 5 is fine for Paul Weller lol.

I've seen too many bands shoot for the stars at that place and come gig time half filled.

Its a shitty venue. I have friends who wont go to gigs there simply because its Terminal 5. I'm only going to Ride there because its their only local show, but I prefer to avoid it too. I didn't go to Beady Eye there b/c I hated the Webster Hall gig, but the fact it was at T5 made it even easier to decide. Also its worth pointing out for the sake of this argument, Weller played the Apollo, Webster Hall AND MHOW on his last tour here on consecutive nights. So that run was well over 3000 tickets just about 2 years ago from the T5 date.

Good luck to Weller.
