Hmmm on first listen I like it, but am not blown away. I am hoping this means it is a grower and will last longer in memory than the first album  Riverman is very cool. Great production. Not getting X ray eyes yet, Lock all the doors is great, as is TDOTL, The Right stuff is superb, like it a lot, not getting WTSRTS, didn't like the Mexican much, and I liked You know we can't go back, but felt like the chorus stopped too early each time, like there was an extra gear missing. Also, as good as the production is, don't people think that Noel's voice could do with some extra volume in places? Particularly on Lock All The Doors? Going to leave it alone for now and have another listen later today |

Nobody's praising The Mexican! It's fantastic! I think I'd hyped it up too much due to the QOTSA thing so was bit underwhelmed with it at first but the second half of the song is great. |

As i listen to Frank Zappa lately, i don't mind this wahahahaha bit in Mexican that much, but the fact is, its pointless.

The instruments will take more rooms on the official release, but the voice wont be louder. |

I don't think the vocals are too quiet in the high quality tracks, really. But there's a noticeable lack of clarity on the leaked tracks which could make the vocals seem muffled. We'll see... |
