Early opinions
Riverman 9/10 (fuck that drum pattern on the chorus, fuckin nosense)
The Girl With the X-Ray Eyes 7.5/10 (The Girl with the X-Ray Eyes, she's gonna see through my disguise. BRILLIANT)
Lock All the Doors 8/10 (Too fast, Noel's voice too low. Waiting for the "final" version)
The Dying of the Light 7/10
The Right Stuff 8/10 (Brilliant. Brilliant. The atmosphere is great, guitar is great, it's all great. Female voice is too high anyway)
While the Song Remains the Same 6/10 (Not a fan of that, really. It's meh, the retro atmosphere is great but the chorus is a little bit pop and not great imho)
The Mexican 8/10 (Great riff. WTF is that "UA UA UA UA" c'mon!)
You Know You Can't Go Back 6.5/10
ITHOTM 7, BOTMI 7.5.

first listen and it's awesome. i definitely like that he got away from these stomping drum patterns which dominated the first high flying birds album as well as parts of dig out your soul.

The first half of the album, except ITHOTM, is amazing. From the second, only "The Right Stuff" and
"Ballad of the Might I" stand out
