Welp, whatever. I'm gonna Roll With It...
So everyone, I must know... did Dying of the Light sound overproduced? Or on the level of Wonderwall production?

So I listened to each song all the way through, my verdict: Fantastic album. I don't dislike any of the songs, lots of great moments, many highlights, few stains and for the songs I am less sure about, they have that grower feel to it.
This is most certainly not by the numbers. It's well thought out. Can't wait for the bonus songs now!
This is by far Noel's best album put out since Morning Glory. Finally an album that holds up to that line!

I dont know what i'm most happy about, the fact it's leaked or the fact that there will be no more of these stupid lyrics pun posts ;-)

Highlights after my first listen: Lock All the Doors The Dying of the Light While the Song Remains the Same
IMO it's much better than NGHFB, both songs and production.

Definitely not grandiose as Noel described it. The simple piano notes in the background really light it up.

Now the only songs to look forward to next are:
Revolution Song Freaky Teeth Leave My Guitar Alone
Two of which we have all heard for years (decade).

To me, Girl With the XRay Eyes is biggest grower so far. It is kind of like oily cocktail pop or something. Some unholy mix of "Hotel California", a lost David Bowie b-side and "Come Undone" by Duran Duran. Weirdly different and a sneaky great melody.

I'll celebrate my 100th post on the forum by insisting on how much I love Riverman. This really should be a single, although they will probably go with one of the more rocking tunes after the previous two.

I've only listened to Riverman so far. Wow, absolute classic. LOVE that verse strum/groove and chorus melody.

This is what I've wanted from Noel for a while; something that sounds like he's having fun. There's a free-ness to all of these songs that just makes you smile while you're listening to them. I know it's way too early to say this but it could possibly be the best thing since Morning Glory, as a collective whole I mean. Strong all the way through. Way to make up for a dodgy album cover, Noel

On my fourth listen and 'The Girl With X Ray Eyes' is the biggest grower. Gets better with every listen, can see why its track 3.
Dont know what my favourite track is, maybe Lock All The Doors or You Know We Cant Go Back. Dying of The Light is one of the best things he's written though. Hoping that While The Song Remains The Same will grow though.
