Warren Zevon was awesome. Highly respected songwriter with a very somber sense of humor. The doctors told him he had little time to live, so he didn't have chemotherapy and instead made a classic last album. He was also known for being a really good friend of David Letterman, guest leading his band when Paul Shaffer wasn't there. It's kind of annoying he's only know by the general public for Werewolves, f or me it's a little like Oasis with Wonderwall in the U.S. He definitely deserves to be in there, but I guess it doesn't matter for him now that he's gone. Glad to see I'm not the only person who feels that way about Warren Zevon- The music industry always could and especially now do with more individual characters like him. It doesn't matter for him now he's gone, and I would guess he probably wouldn't care if he was alive tbh, but the benefit might be exposure to a new audience who may have only vaguely heard his name if at all
