I checked this topic last night and it was on page 9. When I saw that it had jumped to 15 this morning I thought something had to have happened.

Facebook/twitter announcement monday "tune in tomorrow for new single" Video on youtube and radio airplay debut tuesday, uk release on sunday. How good would that be Ballad of the Mighty I will be on XFM at half 4 tomorrow afternoon uk time. Well, after all these days one thing's for sure: Greedy's Mighty Sigh doesn't know anything more than any of us, so don't believe him and don't get your hopes high It was rather obvious. He's just good at digging information from google and twitter.

No one talked about it, but Ballad of the Mighty I is the final track of the record. I personally have a special feeling for final tracks, they usually are strong, they must have some nostagia. Ballad of Mighty I has 5:15 of duration. Is a long track, not usual for lead singles. I'm very curious about it. 5.15 is long? Not usual for a single? *Cough*Shakermaker, Morning Glory, Champagne Supernova (okay those 2 were American singles but still), Some Might Say, D'You Know What I Mean, Stand By Me, All Around The World (now THAT is long), Who Feels Love, Sunday Morning Call, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Lyla *cough* Those are all singles that are over 5 minutes long, and almost all the other singles are close to the 5 minutes. Woah they had some pretty long songs, and not just on BHN. Only notice that now lol What I mean is: all these songs were singles with some Radio Edit version. I think we are going to listen the Radio Edit version, but nothing really different from the original version, maybe just the end.

I didn't see this. Info probably comes from this very thread, but who knows... Oasis News Brasil is run by AlissonBrazil, who has always been a reliable source. Maybe he can tell us something...

The radio edit of Mighty I removes Johnny Marr's epic three minute guitar solo which sounds like Jimmy Page on ecstacy covering The Who who are covering The Beatles while they listen to Grand Funk Railroad and sniff glue. Naked.

This is fairly common knowledge. He started referring to his family by reggae aliases in the DOYS tour diary, Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere. m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/1063884I believe he even credited himself as General Dread in the DOYS liner notes... Ah, I see. I wasn't really into Oasis enough then to really follow interviews and go on forums. I was still discovering most of their music at the time. Thanks though. The Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere are really funny and well worth a read. Someone collated them into a pdf, I'm sure someone on here could link you up if you're interested. I hope he does something similar on his upcoming tours.

Less than 49 days until the Japanese release date Well, at least I have Johnny Marr's last album for this waiting. Great album BTW, better than the first one IMHO (mimmihopps, don't kill me).

The First Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere (2008 - 2009) and the second one Noel did during his last tour have been uploaded on our Sound and Vision board. The link might be dead, but I can upload it if anyone is interested.

I couldn't care less if the single is a hit, I just want it to be good. Besides 5:15 probably won't be the single edit...

I'm gonna call someone today who might know when the new song is gonna be played, or has maybe heard the song.
She's the program director at a radio station, and she heard 'If I Had A Gun' before it was played on the radio and knew when it was gonna be debuted.
Also, she's a lesbian and is smoking hot.
Thanks.
