'Live Forever' or 'Slide Away'. God bless. That's what I'm thinking as well. For a moment I thought Supersonic could be one of the potential winners, but I don't think it will win There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you." Now... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, that meant your ass. You'd be dead right now. I never gave much thought to what it meant. I just thought it was a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before I popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. See, now I'm thinking: maybe it means you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here... he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could mean you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. And I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd. God bless.

Slide Away Always surprised my how popular the song was. It surprised me when I subscribed to this forum and looked online that so many people considered it a top 3 (or even top) song of theirs. Not in my book. It's a very good song, but I can find something I love more about in all of the other tunes left in the knock out. Sound like if 'Listen Up' was more of a ballad. I think people just find something emotional in there which I don't.

I don't know how old you are , so I don't know if you were around during the glory years , and everyone has a opinion and im not knocking yours at all Slide away is my favorite tune on lp was since day 1 ...it is a ballad but it has balls .....and it did not matter if I was in manchester , london , or nyc ( and i frequented all 3 back then often ) when this song came on in pubs everybody sang it at full throat like at a footy match ..... So it sorta struck a chord ..like us against them mentality ...... if you were around and did not get it thsts cool , but if you were not , maybe that will explain a bit why so many love it ....... Me ? I'll never vote against it ,tho I guess live forever will win.

Fuckin hell didn't notice BIOD has been eliminated.Wow.Why hate it? I don't think anybody hates any tune ... I dont ...but it's a elimination .....im voting based on songs I skip I listen to these tunes daily badically , so I have to skip at times ...I don't skip slide away , rock and roll star or live forever. The others to save time I skip so I can listen to other stuff driving , not always mind but a lot , so I personally don't dislike any tune ...but if im voting off a isaland it goes .....as will rock and roll star and live forever if slide away is left ...... Not hating , voting on which you think is best ...

Me ? I'll never vote against it ,tho I guess live forever will win. I was unfortunately not old enough to appreciate Oasis back in their heyday (I was born in 1993), heck, I never even managed to see them live, so my listening experience is different to many here, I would imagine. 95% of the time I've listened to it in the context of the album and It has just never resonated with me as the best of the best, like many others hear it. In the larger back catalogue of music I listen to, Oasis is one of the softer numbers and perhaps that's why I generally prefer Oasis tunes more along the line of 'Rock N' Roll Star', 'Morning Glory', 'Headshrinker' e.t.c. 'Slide Away' is undoubtedly a fantastic song, but in the context of one of my favourite albums of all time, its power is diminished somewhat. I'm gunning for a 'Rock N' Roll Star' victory however I totally expect, (and would perfectly understand and appreciate) a 'Live Forever' victory too.

Being a 14- year old myself, i can guarantee most of the younger generation have ridiculously poor music taste. They only know oasis for wonderwall, and think its their best song urgh
