I don't mind remixes in general. Sometimes when I've caned a song to death it's nice to have alternative versions to listen to: Primal Scream & Beck have some great remixes.
The frustrating thing with Noel is we know he has (or at least he claims to have) loads of material, so there's no need to scrimp on b-sides.

Noel's official channel on YouTube posted this remix a few minutes ago. Would be the remix of the Deluxe CD?

Listening to this remix I felt myself jumping on that 80's movie The Terminator.

Would be nice if it had a few more words in it.

The remix is not that bad, but it's way too repetitive and doesn't have enough lyrics. It could also use an edit, considering that it doesn't change until about 3 and a half minutes into the song.

I find it hard to believe that this slipped through Noels quality control.
Probably the worst Oasis related material ever.

Listening to this remix I felt myself jumping on that 80's movie The Terminator. Same here. The synth part running through this remix also reminded me a bit of Vangelis' theme for Blade Runner, which also has a stuttering electronic rhythm underlying it.

Just discovered this thing (don't know how I missed it in the first place) and it looks like I'm the only one who likes it. Oh well.

American iTunes has the album remix listed as "Toydrum Remix" and it's six minutes long

Wow, it's not that shit remix, that's good. The Andrew Weatherall one? I really like it but then he is one of my favourite mixers. His remixes for the Manics, Doves, Primal Scream and James are all cracking. Anyway the Toydrum Remix is mentioned on this site, as is the previous UNKLE reworks. www.underscore-collective.com/?page_id=1443

Does anyone else feel a bit robbed whenever they see a remix appearing as a bonus track or b-side? I'm all for remixes to come out on limited vinyl pressings but when they take up valuable space on singles and albums it's just not on i think
Especially when Noel has slagged off bands in the past for it. The b sides tracks from DOYS were an utter travesty, I wonder what the noel or 1995 would have said to the noel or 2008?! To think we only got those swollen hand blues over 3 singles when we used to get essentially a bonus album as a reward for buying the singles.

I was more let down during the DOYS era becaus Noel would boast about how many songs the band wrote for DBTT and DOYS and yet we got practically zero b-sides for Dig Out Your Soul. The new trend in the music world is just to take the "bonus" songs from the iTunes release and use them for supporting future singles.

The bonus disc on CY is not even half full, Noely Poly could easily have treated us to more bonus songs AND remixes there. I don't mind remixes but what is frustrating is how prolific Noel claims to be (I wrote 60 songs etc) versus how much he actually releases. He's not getting any younger and with 3 year gaps between albums he's going to be entering retirement age with a huge catalogue of material stored up!!
