and unless stop the clocks is a hidden track, its not on there STC as a hidden track like The Cage on HC? That would be fucking weird. Last chance is if STC is on Lord don't slow me down like Helter Skelter on FTM. I don't get it though! Why would they use that name for the album if STC (the song) wasn't on there? |

Where does it say that STC is NOT on there? The contest wants you not only to guess the songs BUT the song placement. It has given us 5 guarantees so there are 13 others not listed or decided on yet. Just b/c STC isn't one of the guaranteed 5 does not make it off the list.

All the talk has been very clear "18-track album", "we've announced 5, up to you to work out what the other 13 are". Unless they're planning a major surprise, or perhaps a very late change of plan, then I don't think anything new will be on there, and all of the 18 will be old. |

STC isn't on there. |

there's noway Noel will release what he calls his "best song ever" on some stupid greatest hits record...esp since Sony is fuckin him over
the title, as i said before, is a harbinger...its forshadowing that STC will be on the next proper album...atleast i hope that's the case...

if it truly is a top class song then it has not place on a this pathetic 'greatest' hits 'album'
if it's Noels traditional bullshit comment hyping just for the hell of it and knowing hes wrong, like he does ALOT, then fine...include it
but a top song on the proper album will help sell that album
potential 2007/2008 convo:
"Hey did you get Oasis' new album?"
"Yeh, its fookin mega. STC is the best song since DLBIA and Wonderwall"
"STC is really that good? I'm gonna buy it"
"yeh man, STC is surrounded by other quality songs too"
Stop the Clocks (song) has a chance to boost sales dramatically if Noel is correct in saying its his best ever song
although, i wish he never said that bc we all have high expectations now....like Let there be Love...bah great potential that song had, Noel fucked it up though, could have been huge

it's essential theres atleast 1 mega song, but follow the above pattern, you normally get two VERY good songs on an Oasis album (ok ok GLIO is a huge stretch lol)

I agree that If Noel thinks that STC is really his best song ever, it must be included in this album.. although he hates Sony I really believe that Gallagher's ego are expecting that this will be a top sale so, they really are putting their best effort in STC would be a great album...
but, I think also that with Noel Gallagher you never know anything... he can put the song or not... maybe, in the last two weeks he had changed his mind and he doesn't think that STC song is really so good, or maybe he is thinking in make a joke naming the album with that title and not including the song itself... who knows?
I hope that STC be included in the album because I think that is the opportunity for us to hear it, I hesitate that he include it in a next album if it is not in this first.

Fade Away, Be Here Now, Going Nowhere and Listen Up are listed, be cracking if they're all on Fade Away should be on anyway since it's the best Oasis song. No Columbia  Digsy's Dinner, She Is Love, Little James, I Can See A Liar - quick clue, if you wanna win don't include these. ;D |

Is there any chance that STC will end up on a stand alone single that may not have been announced yet? let's not lose hope. and I hadn't thought about that yet but it sounds like something that could happen. they'll need something new to promote the GH, if this doesn't sell well Oasis career will be seriously affected, and 18 old songs won't get many people buying it |
