When we get tunes on the album that we have leaks of people complain that we aren't getting enough new music. But when we have tunes that leaked that don't appear then people complain that it is missing. There really is no winning is there? This would be a good point if the people crying for new music were the same people crying for unreleased songs. As it happens I only fit into the latter category Not saying they are the same people at all. Not accusing anyone of being a hypocrite. That's not the case. Simply a case of can't please all the people all the time. Just an observation.

But when we have tunes that leaked that don't appear then people complain that it is missing. There really is no winning is there? Please point out who complained that TDOTL & Lock All The Doors are on the album due to them already being available in some form. I'm just curious because I haven't seen anyone complain. And I haven't seen people complain that Slow or The Magic Can't be Right, or Come On Outside aren't on the album. What I have seen people complain about though, is Don't Stop The Happening not being on the album, but perhaps that's because the only version in the public domain is in utter shite quality. There has also been some talk about She Must be One of Us, If There is a God. Maybe others...haven't paid that much attention. And people complained about TDOTL being on the album before it was even announced on the album. lol. Same about there being a release for Freaky Teeth. It's fine though. TDOTL was the only one of the leaked that I would have been upset if it hadn't been on. I'd probably have started a thread about it if it hadn't been on the album. I'm just saying if all the tunes that people liked that were leaked had been on the album there would have been a lot of very upset people on here about the lack of new tunes. More on topic now. I thought that Don't Stop the Happening had maybe been that tune that Noel wrote for Anais that he said that he'd never release.

Fair enough gdforever. You're right you can't please all the people all the time.
I don't know much about the story with Anais but Bye Bye My Family does seem very personal even lullaby-ish, so it would make sense.

Is someone anybody to make a definitive list of which song is which because am getting confused in this thread over which is which Don't Stop The Happening (official title) (aka. Bye Bye My Family, Don't Stop Being Happy), available in soundcheck form from 2009. God Help Us All (official title) (aka. Crashing When You Burn, If There's A God), available in soundcheck form from 2005 [early version], 2011 (seemingly complete)). Don't Be Down. Unavailable, written around 2002. If it has been rewritten, or reworked or renamed then we don't know about it. All three titles have been mentioned by Noel in interviews and can therefore be taken as official.

Is it possible if one of you guys or gals get to ask Noel a question ask him about all this shit. Ask where Bye Bye My family is, ask about "Slow", etc.. Just don't ask about a fucking reunion

Just don't ask about a fucking reunion I was at the FB chat with my girlfriend and actually wanted to ask a question about "Slow" but neither of us got picked to be asked and, when the guy stood up at the beginning and asked, about the songs being in an Oasis reunion, we both looked at each other and rolled our eyes because, what did he expect Noel to say? "What the one happening in 2016? A couple of them" FFS!! You get one chance (more if your lucky of course) and you ask him that? I was so ready to ask that d'yer know what I mean!

Me too, I thought Don't Be Down and Don't Stop The Happening were the same song It is possible they are. But there's no evidence to suggest so. The Girl With The X-Ray eyes could be a rewrite of Slow, The Ballad Of The Mighty I could be a rewrite of The Magic Can't Be Right or The Mexican could be the same song as (what must be the highlight of Noel's early songs) Rodney. But again, no evidence.
