I went down on my lunch break to see if there was anything happening, asked the guy on the door if they had soundchecked, looked at me like i asked if i could have a $100 bill!
But it was pretty quiet, guess they're doing that later.

I thought he was fantastic last night. He and his band are much tighter than the last time I saw them in Boston in 2011. Stronger set, too.

Last night I caught Noel at Webster Hall. I hadn't been back to that venue since seeing Beady Eye there in June of 2011. They put on a great show as did Noel. Noel's fans last night were a tad older and more mannered compared to the Beady Eye crowd of 2011. They were constantly bouncing up and down on the floor. Noel's people soaked it all in during songs and cheered between tunes. The exceptions being when songs like Do The Damage, Everybody's On The Run, In The Heat of The Moment (still a beast of a Tune especially live) and You Know We Can't Go Back. I dug how the "nanannananana's" on ITHOTM were replaced with a brass section. Another highlight for me was "The Death of You and Me". The crowd really got amped up for that number and It sounded amazing. I gotta be honest, the best guitar solo of the night belonged to Tim Smith performing "The Mexican". People really ate that shit up.
Overall Noel looked more comfortable on stage, the sound was properly mixed and it looked like the band was having a blast. I know I was along with 1,500 other people.

amazing show. Fantastic sound. Crowd was having so much fun and Noel was really enjoying it too. I want to see him again!!! My friend got to meet him and get stuff signed prior to soundcheck at around 4pm outside webster hall. I was at work lol.
