First impression is that its just about ok but pretty unremarkable. It has some energy going on and the sound may be slightly different but its essentially as safe a song as Noel could put out.

I just had a weird thought. This song could become a popular gaybar anthem. Oh God...

I think it's quite good. The chorus is catchy, though I keep expecting the verse to lead into the Acquiesce chorus instead Some of the vocal harmonies remind me of DOYS But really, I'm just glad it's not another TIOBI rewrite.

The first bit of the verse sounds like the "I need to be myself" part of Supersonic. I like it. Good safe single I suppose.

I've already listened to it more times than I've listened to half the songs on Heathen Chemistry, does that make me a bad fan?

I will probably never listen to it again unless he plays it in concert.

Love it.
The guitar bits remind me (just a little) to Mark Knoffler.
Never heard Noel playing guitar like this.

And for those looking to play the song in "classic Noel style", you can do it in G with capo 4: verses: G Dsus4 Em7 pre-chorus: A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 chorus: Em7 G Dsus4 A7sus4 Something like that. I'm pretty sure Noel would have no idea what this means what you've just posted here

Kind of like it but nothing special. Bit disappointed but im sure the album will still be great. I'm rather baffled to know why he has to wait until march to release it and why he has blown the chance of getting the single to a high position in the charts.

It's a grower I guess, the song is really good, but I must say that I hated those nananas which sounds more like Gorillaz stuffs.

In case anyone is interested, just put up a cover of ITHOTM Did it in capo 4 to have'easier' chords to play, more in the style of how I would expect Noel to play it Hope you liked it ! Oh and it's good to be back on this forum after a while without posting

Oh and it's good to be back on this forum after a while without posting Tops! Welcome back and great job! Like the whistle track a lot and nice working out the licks too. I questioned whether this song would work acoustically, but you availed those fears. Shows how great of a songwriter is. His almost always work acoustically. Chorus also sounds better acoustically. Can definitely hear what Noel heard. Thanks

Some of the vocal harmonies remind me of DOYS This would be a good replacement for TBWTL. Not for me NL4E, don't really think this song would fit on any Oasis album to be honest. It sounds recognisable that it's Noel, but there's something a bit more 'modern' to it. But then again, I kinda see your point - for all that DOYS was meant to be 'groove', this tune has far more groove to it than all of Dig Ouy Your Soul put together. Maybe it's fresh slicker production - I can pick out all the instruments and it's not just a murky mesh of instruments, seems like Noel's really come on as a producer.
