It's a good single. Different. I wasn't expecting this to be honest. My wife likes it quite a bit, so that says something as she's not really into his music or Oasis too much sadly.
It has crossover appeal, while still being good.

I ordered mine very late (2 weeks ago) and the coloured vinyl was sold out next day. Hope yours will arrive very soon.

Why is it that Noel hasn't played this song live yet to promote it?

Why is it that Noel hasn't played this song live yet to promote it? Rehearsals for the upcoming tour wont be done until January. Probably the soonest he could get all of them. So he has no band to play it with.

Man, the only way this album will be as good as the first one is if this song is the "Dream On" of the new album...

Man, the only way this album will be as good as the first one is if this song is the "Dream On" of the new album... That's why we're spending time on fan forums, to share opinions...because in my world "Dream On" is actually the best song on NGHFB, pop-wise. Great melody, nonsense lyrics, repetitive after all, but seemingly encapsularing 50 years of british pop music into a single song - that's the ingredients that made Noel's songwriting so special in the first place. It's been the only song from that album, this year, that I remotely felt the need to listen to. I would love to have heard a Liam-sung version as well, since it was reportedly demoed by Noel and Gem at the end of the DOYS session. For some reason I'm also quite sure that Chasing Yesterday is not going to disappoint us. I have a certain, strange trust in Noel, like most of us on here probably. He will deliver.

Well, it is the 2nd track... #2 tracks on Oasis/BDI/HFB's albums: DM: Shakermaker MG: Roll With it BHN: My Big Mouth SOTSOG: Go Let It Out HC: Force of Nature DBTT: Mucky Fingers DOYS: The Turning DGSS: Millionaire HFB: Dream On BE: Soul Love CY: In the Heat of the Moment? Obviously, a few exceptions in there but the second track has tended to be one of the weaker tracks a Gallagher released album. Of the 10 released, I'd say 6/10 times the second track was one of the weaker tracks. Though to be fair, looking at those track two's above, that's not too bad of an album right there.

Interesting view, my man. Sorry to say i dont share it though. Its probably the weakest song, tied with stop the clocks... Go figure

ITHOTM is good. I absolutely love Do the Damage, Revolution Song and Freaky Teeth. I love Lock All the Doors, but it's hard to talk about this one. The Dying of the Light is good, but If I Had a Gun is better. I need to hear the album version, though.
My expectations are high as we are talking about the biggest Rock songwriter of the last 20 years. Also, i love everything (not everything, but we're close) he writes.
