What do you mean "if it's not Norway"? And what's wrong with Norway? Its the "woke up stinking" part that... stinks Like the new signature...

Shouldn't we at least have 30 second preview clips by now? I think for the first album we had them a couple weeks before the release. If i remember correctly, last time we got 30s previews was when DGSS about to be released. So, i don't think we'll get previews.

I'm pretty sure we had them for HFB1.

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable songs people prefer if Liam had sang instead of Noel... We've read some great reviews of Lock All The Doors so I'm hoping this doesn't fall into that category.
Personally, I'm one of the few who prefers Noel singing Lord Don't Slow Me Down (although I love both versions) but love the songs regardless.

Norway is a magical country. I once spent christmas in little town at the very north, while polar night. Darkness 24 h doesn't matter what time you get up, it's always middle of the night there anyway.

As a Norwegian I can only say that your support is moving. It has been a tough time here after Elsa trapped the whole country and our beloved capitol Arendalle, in what seemed to be an eternal winter. When the winter ended and things seemed to have returned to normal, disaster once again struck us when Elsa for some reason had a really big hit on national radio with a song called "Let It Go". The constant replaying of the song again and again has scared away my reindeer Sven, and also ruined my appetite for my favorite dish; lutefisk. These are dark times. Your support will not go unnoticed.

Everytime I see the title of this 'thread', I think 'Chasing Yesterday's News' would have been a good title for the album.

And what's wrong with Norway? Its the "woke up stinking" part that... stinks Nothing wrong with Norway, I actually have a few friends there myself. It's more that even before this they already were a tragic bunch of idiots. Didn't need this article for that. Anyway, only noticed just now that it was a first listen review. That guy could easily have misunderstood. I don't understand Noel half the time either Thought you were talking about the Norwegians. Being a Swede I guess I'm used to the jokey trash talk against our neighbours. Tickle my feet with the NME.

Random thought from me: Let's say Do the Damage did open the album. It would actually be cool to listen to the end of Stop the Clocks and then immediately go to DTD. It sounds like things end suddenly on NGHFB and shoot right back in with CY

By Claudio Dirani
When the Beady Eye died in 2014, Noel Gallagher lamented the end of Liam's band, his most beloved enemy. Plum pain thrown in his direction on that fateful August 2009 still would produce results ... but in a light way. Oasis? Says no more be impossible to return. After all, what would be a few million pounds?
But with the end of Beady Eye, Noel concentrated to give continuity to the uproar against softer targets, like the redheads Ed Sheeran pentelhar, the Arctic Monkey Alex Turner and always funky and introspective Radiohead ("They will keep doing the same disk in 20 years, "according to Chief).
This 100% Claus behavior is also linked to TPA - pre-album tension. "Chasing Yesterday" - the second of his career - arrives in March. But the 89 first heard, with one month in advance, and will tell how was that experience exclusively for you.
Groove
In the match between the already well known "In The Heat Of The Moment", "Do The Damage" (side B) and "Ballad Of The Mighty I" - the album's closing track already disclosed, with Johnny Marr's guitar - gives to conclude that the content of "Chasing Yesterday" has more to do with the participation of former Smiths. If the debut album can be more straightforward in the second, it seems that Noel wanted to give vent to his love for a good groove led by pulsing basses - Disk predominant environment, by the way.
The tracks in order of preference
1 "The Right Stuff" is the guy. The music is wrapped in a psychedelic climate, type "space jazz with Paul McCartney on bass." Long introduction, effects on guitar, and vocal division with a singer unidentified. The chorus is the skeleton of the track: "You and I got the right stuff" ...
2 The count 1-2-3-4 before the music kicks off on departure - "Riverman" - looks like it will repeat "Everybody's On The Run". But it was mistake. The foundation of the song has guitars, bass and heavenly harmonies that arise on the bridge. Noel sings, remembering a little George Harrison in "Something": "There's something in the way ... she moves me to distracion ..."
3 The atmosphere is all in "Chasing Yesterday". The beautiful ballad groove "The Girl With X-Ray Eyes" has synthesizer and bass mixed at the top of Mount Everest: "She redbourn me by the hand ... she swallows Space and Time," Gallagher sings. On the disc, "The Girl" has the same function of "If I Had A Gun" or "The Death Of You And Me", but with more leaded gasoline in the tank.
4 "Lock All The Doors" is a return to nostalgia, something fan of Oasis of old simply pyre to do. And if you did not know, this song was born well before "Definitely Maybe" hit the stores. Noel had an idea to end the 1990 song when leaving a supermarket in London and decided to mount a guitar wall to make it the heaviest disk.
5 The "true ballad" of "Chasing Yesterday" is "The Dying Of The Light", known to YouTubexpectadores in demo form. Not so different, but treatment in the studio gave the band a divine melancholy, that will compel you to illuminate Claus shows with your smartphone.
6 "The Mexican" has the most searing guitars and the most direct climate of Rock and Roll. Without chorus, the song is more reminiscent of "Dig Out Your Soul" (one of my favorites). Think about it in "Waiting for the Rapture."
Following my personal ranking:
7 "While The Song Remains The Same" and 8 "You Know We Can not Go Back". The first one came out the album title. The introduction with organ precedes Noel count, and dance beat. But she invites you to sing more than going to a club. "You Know We Can not Go Back" is an introduction of long guitar reminiscent "Champangne Supernova" and a double bass that makes you think of "Where The Streets Have No Name" by U2.
The bottom Gallagheriana: "Chasing Yesterday" has two or three pop weight flashes with "In The Heat Of The Moment", "The Dying Of The Light" and "The Girl With X-Ray Eyes". These are easier to repeat the success of "High Flying Birds". The others are bolder pearls where the head of the Oasis is what you think, without abandoning the tastes and the haircut.
Adidas
The cool Noel Gallagher is that it seems to have the same durability of sporting goods Adidas. Changes a little logo, remains cool and desired, but do not lose the traditional look. You wore in 1970 and will use forever until the 22nd century.

I love seeing The Right Stuff (supposedly, the craziest track) cited as a highlight. It might convince Noel to step out of his comfort zone more often. I'm really looking forward to listening to it. And fuck me if Claus Gallagher is not an amazing name

"Long guitar reminiscent of "Champangne Supernova"" if that doesn't excite you I don't know what does.
This better be good, Claus!

Dutch record store Plato gave Chasing Yesterday 8/10. They said it's an album that follows his solo debut nicely. No new info on the songs but 8/10 is nice enough
