Noel has mentioned plenty of songs that have never seen the light of day........ - The Red, White and Blue - Slow - Gotta Get It Back - Revival - The Magic Can't Be Right - Don't Be Down Yeah, I'm aware of these and the latter two are actually the only ones where he went into detail. That's why I'm hoping for reissues of the post-2000 albums as well. Sometime in the future...anyway, I still think The Red, White & Blue was an early title for what became I Hope, I Think, I Know. And you forgot "Everyone's A Winner", which is very likely just a nonsense title. Or a Hot Chocolate rip off. I'd be shocked if they did reissues for SOTSOG, HC, DBTT and DOYS. They aren't culturally significant enough to merit such an act. If Noel wants to put out some sort of rarities release from this era fine but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

You're exactly right. While these albums aren't culturally relevant vs the 90's albums they still sold better than 90% of other albums that get rereleases / remasters / anniversary editions etc They'll come at some point with at least 1 'rarity' disk, It might not be a song and dance 'chasing the sun' but they'll come £££

Remember on song titles, this is Noel we are talking about...he can't even seem to get Setting Sun/Lock All the Doors right in recent interviews!

STC is not bad. just the hype and everything related to that song kinda buried it (did I just quote someone here?) I think it's a good closer, but it's far from being single material. it was the best way to close HFB 1. leave it all BEHIND and release the masterpiece next (so I hope) A Simple Game of Genius would have made a better HFB closer. Personally I hate the production on STC and that cheesy mellotron sound. No, what ruins it for me is Noel's trying to be a trumpet with his voice. Seriously.

I don't think they're going to reissue the last four either, but rarities and unreleased stuff from the era (along with older stuff of course) might appear on an anthology-like thing in the future.

Noel has said any unreleased songs demoed with Oasis are still his songs and hence fair game for future solo albums.
So don't get your hopes up too much about completely unheard unreleased songs getting aired in reissues.

I don't mind waiting until January-February if we'll get those damn MUSTIQUE DEMOS (yeah, I'm getting boring) Owen Morris, 2013: "I’ve just listened to those Mustique demos again for the first time since then: I’ve been down in London, supervising the re-mastering of the first three albums, and Ian Cooper had copied the Mustique demos for possible inclusion on a special “with extras” release of Be Here Now. They sound amazing. To me, anyway. "

Every news story that broke on the announcement of the Chasing The Sun project specifically mentioned Be Here Now, The worry now is that Noel has done an AA on us and quietly cancelled. I'm sure it's us lot getting paranoid because of how much we want this more than the others but I'll admit it's getting slightly worrying how close to Noel's solo album we're getting now. Especially considering the 2 month 'pre-order' period we had with the other two

Maybe they weren't happy with the reception and sales of the previous remasters and decided to cancel the BHN re-issue. Anyway if it's true, i don't think we'll miss anything new-unsurfaced material.

At least we'll get them in high quality. Those 4 "demos" aren't from the Mustique sessions. They are rough monitor mixes from the actual album sessions. The 4 songs do exist in better quality too, see the 30 second clips of Don't Go Away and All Around The World for reference. At least two people have them but they are not even in the trading circle to my knowledge. It's supposed to be rough monitor / guide vocal versions of most of the album plus two or three b-sides. Nothing from Mustique is available at all apart from the officially released Angel Child (Demo).

Work on the Be Here Now reissue hasn't begun and won't be released til after Noel's album is released.
My Facebook friend, who is the biggest Oasis fan in the world. Who, uh, was hanging out with Brian Cannon a couple weeks ago, and had Brian Cannon take pics of him proposing to his girlfriend, and who also just yesterday posted pics of himself picking up signed drums from Alan White, confirms this.
God bless.

So they are being considered for the reissue and I'm sure we'll get a few of them. Probably not the whole tape though. Correct me if I'm wrong but the BHN demos which have leaked with Noel on vox are not from the Mustique demo sessions.

No i think the leaked demo's are basically the album tracks with a noel's guide vocals? The mystique ones are basically acoustic, drum machine and keys maybe? (basically very stripped back).. i think

The don't go away clip seems to show that with the acoustic guitar much more prominent.

Wasn't there insinuations that the security team allowed journalists to record them of the monitor mixes?.. Either way the Mystique demos will be very different

Thanks to scottc, who had emailed Owen a few months ago:
"Hello Scott,
These are definitely not the Mustique demos.
Magic Pie is Be Here Now album version.....some cheeky early monitor mix maybe?
The other three don't sound like the Be Here Now final album drum tracks to me.
Most likely, is that someone on the Be Here Now session (engineer...assistant engineer?...unlikely it was Nick Brine) made very cheeky bad monitor mixes when the band had a quick run through of songs to get the vibe before Alan White concentrated to getting drum takes.
Anyway....they sound pretty poor. And they are not the Mustique demos, which are beautiful things.
When the Be Here Now sessions started at Abbey Road, it became apparent that members of the studio staff were on the payrolls of both The Sun and The Mirror......they were letting reporters into the studio when Oasis weren't there (such was the profile of Oasis at that time)....things disappeared.....stuff moved. I guess they might've even played monitor mixes over the speakers and a reporter could've taped it on a dictaphone?
Thanks
Owen"
