So... I haven't been saying this for a few days: I NEED THE MUSTIQUE DEMOS.Desperately. I will be MASSIVELY disappointed if we're not getting them. Fingers crossed tomorrow's the day of the announcement, the window of opportunity is closing fast for a pre-Christmas release date. |

Yeah, it won't be announced tomorrow for sure. Maybe on wednesday, but I'm skeptical. And as I've said a couple of weeks ago, I'm afraid we won't get it for christmas... Some facts: both the reissues (DM and MG) were announced on a Wednesday (Feb 26 and July 2), 82 and 89 days before release respectively. If the BHN release is following the same road, we won't get it for christmas... |

It's becoming very obvious that there will be no Be Here Now reissue in 2014. Let's hope for January or early February 2015. After that it's Chasing Yesterday time for a solid year or so. The window on all fronts is closing and I'm getting nervous it's been scrapped. Noel recently only mentioned DM and MG as being part of the delayed release for Chasing Yesterday. |

He didn't mention BHN as he can't pre empt any official announcement (as that would be the announcement) but he did say CY is march as needs MG to stop selling, it did weeks ago so he could've pulled CY out the hat anytime if they had choose to cancel BHN not keep waiting 4 months . As CY is march, id predict BHN will be feb after Mighty I in jan. |

I want to hear the Mustique Demos as much as anyone, but chances are, (if we compare to the DM & WTSMG releases) we're not gonna get a full set, perhaps a very small handful. I'll be amazed if the full set is released and very disappointed in the Oasis team if it's a no show. I think some people shouldn't get their hopes up too much, it'll only ruin it for them when it's released.

Can someone explain why these Mustique demos are so valuable? Are they supposed to be like the DM and MG demo's we've gotten already? Cause to be honest, it's cool to hear Noel sing "hello" or "rocking chair" on an acoustic but I'd be lying if I said I've listened to them more than a couple times...

I agree, they're probably over hyped, and their elusiveness to the more general fan confuses me too. I hold any 90's era demo as very important in the history of the band, even as a curiosity, it's interesting to hear the evolution of the songs we love. My interest in the Mustique demos are roughly the same as any new demo from that period. I suppose some of the interest may be because of how well recorded and stripped down they supposedly are. They also include a drum machine, so theres that too  I imagine though it probably boils down to the Pièce de résistance of the demos: Slow
A slow unreleased song from around this era which Noel has spoke about once or twice. I think it's part of the demos anyway. One person confirmed it, however another may of denied it. Hmmm I forget. |

As I've said before, if they are going to release Be Here Now again, it has to have something desireable on it, because on it's own the album barely sells to the general public, a problem that the first two don't really have.
If they just go for live tracks from all over the tour it will be a major fuck up.

I'm not that arsed about Slow and I don't know why everyone else is. It's inevitably going to be poor as it hasn't made it onto any Oasis albums. Why do people overhype these songs?

If Slow does indeed exist I think it's the least they could do considering those who will buy all 3 boxsets will have spent well over £300 Call me stupid but I still think we might get the bhn release before christmas, if they're ready to go why not? Christmas is still well over 5 weeks away |

If the BHN box comes with the Mustique demos as a cassette like the MG promo cassette, I'd be okay with that. But having them all already on CD would be better. I imagine disc 3 will be lots of GMEX and Budokan performances and a couple Mustique demos.
