No idea what to expect. It's all shrouded in mystery this time round isn't it? We don't even know who's fucking producing it. Dave Sitek of course. Sardy will be doing Beady Eye #3.

Anyone else?

What an ear sore. The others, save the best for the album (1-2 songs tops) and just include the rest as b-sides or bonus songs.

For me, that list represents some of the best but also worst stuff that Noel has ever done. I'd be perfectly happy if only Dying of the Light made it on. And Oh Lord needs to be unwritten somehow

Don't Stop The Happenin' That is actually my favorite of the classic but unreleased Noel stuff that we've heard, followed by God Help Us All. Really like the melodies in these two. Don't Stop The Happenin' is classic Noel but the melody is absolutely outstanding on that one and if produced correctly it could be a really great track. I hope these two get released. I think The Dying of the Light is "alright" but its nothing too special.

I would be happy if God Help Us All, Dying Of The Light and Come On Outside were on the album. Freaky Teeth has had its day, even though the demo doesn't reach the potential shown in the live version. The rest are pretty poor, b-sides at best.

I don't want any of them to appear on the album, especially She Must Be One Of Us because A. It's horrible and B. It's at least 10 years old. Freaky Teeth is awesome but that has had it's day.

Do you think It's Alright is Come On Outside? Wasn't Come On Outside meant to go on DOYS initially? Sounds like the little brother of Bag It Up and The Turning. I love it

I really like She Must Be One Of Us, It reminds me of Bob Dylan in a really good way whereas Freaky Teeth does the total opposite.

Yeah I remember reading or hearing that somewhere, that's why I asked. And it's really that DOYS vibe. Would've been great with Liam on vocals. Anyway, I thought Noel was done with all that Oasis stuff, so I wonder how real this tracklist is. But you never know it with him.

Of all of the unreleased tracks we've gotten so far, Go Help Us All is probably my favorite. I like the energy it has, it doesn't sound plodding, it's less of a re-hash of the Wonderwall chords, and it has fairly nice lyrics. Really hoping that will be developed and released. Even in just an acoustic form I'd take it, but I think he could really push that song to being something else. Something very interesting. I'd think it has the most potential to be his next WAL.

Yeah I like God Help Us All, I think there was a version on YouTube with a really good bass line. I'd be happy if that made the album and none of the others do.

She's more of a Beady Eye informant. Noel info always lagging.

I do really like The Dying of the Light - has a yearning to it that we haven't heard in a while from Noel's songs. God Help Us All is another very very good tune - potential to be great if he gets it right in the studio.
Noel's songs are always best when there's an element of sadness and melancholy to it - definitely of late, his downbeat mellow tunes linger longer in the memory for myself. Perhaps because they are a bit more disconcerting as opposed to the adrenaline rush of his rockier upbeat tunes. Often when other major bands like Coldplay and co do it, it comes off as contrived, fake and basically overly sentimental.
Noel's melodies are more striking I think because they are more sincere and he doesn't always feel the need to go off into major widescreen chorus (although he can do that very well!).
I think the melodic and understated appeal of songs like God Help Us All makes Noel the superior songwriter which separates him from his peers.

God Help Us All is a b-side material at the best. The Dying of The Light has potential to be a nice song if it's properly re-worked.

word on the street is that Noel is still deciding what song the comeback single should be. Date and b sides are picked.
