He has some very good songs like Angels, Millennium, She's the One, Come Undone, and also he was heavily influenced by Oasis in his early years.
This totally sounds like a pop version of Oasis:

I have nothing against him actually, world needs characters like Robbie Williams. He's a pop singer, he sings pop songs, most of them are far better that anything you can hear on the radio nowadays. And he has a bit of that 90's vibe to it which is always cool. It's easy for Gallaghers especially to make fun of him cause he's funny isn't he ? No need to hate him today i think.

Robbie Williams has a quality voice , if you hear ANGELS aNd think, otherwise , you are simply a fucking asshole If someone has an opinion that differs from yours, doesn't mean they're wrong (or you're right). You could just say that they have nothing to back their opinion up with, but you start insulting. Your grammar makes me think that you're simply a fucking asshole. Doesn't feel good, does it?

Is he auditioning for the role of Alfred the butler in the new Batman v Superman film or something? Terrible, terrible get-up... So what ? True, I suppose, I just thought he looked a bit silly is all

No doubt Robbie COULD sing - and very well indeed - but times change and just like with Liam, that voice is a shadow if its former self nowadays...

I don't like his music but I have to admit Millennium is a good song and he had such a good voice back then.
This is the best thing Robbie Williams ever did:

He sounded more like The Verve to me. Not so much as Oasis. I once played Lucky Man to a friend and he thought it was Robbie. And i was like, no he is gay this is cool band. But you know what, he was right. I can imagine Lucky Man to be RW song. Also some songs of Robbie are cooler than some Oasis ballads. Good music is good music, it is stupid to hate just because singer is gay. He had some good songs, i dont listen them but you cant say they are bad.

The hatred of Robbie Williams from some people on this forum amuses me since he's the closest you'll get to Oasis musically in the 'pop' world. Many of those early big hits would have fitted on an Oasis album and it wouldn't be out of place.

My point really was this ....if you listen to angels .....rock DJ , or Jesus in a camper van , or anything he did for like 3 years and don't acknowledge he can sing , your a twat. .....same as people who hate blur ? Why ? I like some blur , they make or made good tunes ....so does Robbie .....if u think I don't convey it properly ...to bad , it's a rock forum not a library

What's wrong with millenium ?? Rock DJ ? Angels Are u serious The man can fucking sing I'm just saying Beady’s Here Now is a massive fan, at least in the late 90s. You could surely picture him singing "Angels" at a karaoke bar. I love how this forum knows me. Yes, I enjoyed Robbie Williams when I was a young kid. And even when I grew older, Angels provided the best drunken sing-a-longs Freshman year in college.

Just gonna leave this here... Above: Noel, Liam, Robbie Williams, Owen Morris & company at Maison Rouge in September 1995, working on Oasis’s cover of Slade’s Cum on Feel the Noize. Photo by Tim Abbot. Thanks to Tom S for the scan.Original caption by Tim Abbot (from his excellent photo diary oasis.definitely) reads as follows: "Chris Abbot and Noel spend a night reminiscing about Noddy Holder and Slade – a B-side develops in twenty-four hours. Anyone still standing is drafted in for backing vocals – get your boots on, skinhead." And of course 'anyone still standing around' appears to have included a certain R. Williams, which is funny in hindsight given how badly they fell out later on. Not sure I can hear his contribution though... there are masses of backing vocals on that tune. And some comical Slade impersonations at the end of course, hehe.

I have fond memories of listening to Robbie williams (especially i'ts only us on fifa 2000), millenium, rock DJ etc..not really bothered by the comments he makes on Oasis, if he thought they were so bad he wouldn't have been so obsessed with them and so upset when they rejected him.

kalas: HOW DARE PEOPLE NOT LIKE WHAT I LIKE Part of posting on here is realising there's hundreds of different opinions, all believing they're right. That's normal, that's how it works. People are bound to defend their opinions vehemently at times, as will you.
