Morrissey's new single (and album title), World Peace Is None of Your Business was unveiled today. Reminds me of You Are The Quarry/Vauxhall and I style. I really dig it.
Also, Moz is now on twitter - that will be entertaining! In addition to this, a bio film is in the work that will focus on the early life of Morrissey.

Welcome back, Moz!!!
I really like this song. It's been nearly 5 years since when I saw him for the last time.
Really really looking forward to the new album! Broken Record's 3rd album comes out next week, then Weller's new "Modern Classic". Very exciting time! Oh, and DM box set too...

If anyone ever needed a Twitter account, it is Morrissey. The man has such a way with words. Just finished his book, loved it. While it is essentially 450 pages of complaining (I mean that in the best way possible), bemoaning, and silently dying over topics covering the course of his life from Manchester, his schooling, his record labels, etc. There's about 50 pages devoted to his response towards the 1996 Smiths trial and the judges and lawyers involved.
Highly recommended.

The best Morrissey story I've ever heard, play from 9.35 to 17.23. Limmy is one of the best comedian's out there today. He's hilarious - his TV show was the funniest thing in years.

The best Morrissey story I've ever heard, play from 9.35 to 17.23. Honestly, what language is he speaking? I'm glad I eventually managed to get most of what Liam is saying in interviews, but this is impossible!!! Would someone of you native speakers be so nice and tell me what he's talking about? Is it scottish?

It's just being Scottish myself (and others on here who are Scots too) this kind of speech is second nature to us.

I suppose it's the same with bavarian. Even germans sometimes cannot understand it Must be even harder for people who learn german and think they know the language, but then visit the south But I very much understand you, stuff like this fascinates me as well. But I'd still like to know the Morrissey-story

I don't get how people can't understand Glaswegian accents either, fair enough if English isn't your first language, but when you have people from London that can't understand it I find it infuriating.

LOVE the two new tracks. This last while, I've really been getting into Morrissey's solo stuff. Just listened to Ringleader of the Tormentors and Years of Refusal off Youtube and made me develop a real appreication. I also really liked the 2nd half of the Swords album (first half was alright but second is killer). I've always like Suedehead and Everyday's Like Sunday but the 90s Morrissey output was a little harder to get into for me. I'm really enjoying his Greatest Hits, which is really a "Best of Morrissey Part 2" as its mostly stuff from the 00s with 3 or 4 older songs, including The More You Ignore ME the Closer I Get, which is brilliant. Bought Viva Hate and will be working my way through properly

Bought Viva Hate and will be working my way through properly His early 90s output is arguably his best solo work I'd say - Your Arsenal and Vauxhall & I are masterpieces. Listen to Bona Drag also - a classic collection of his early singles and b-sides, continuing that Smiths tradition of the b-side sometimes being stronger than the a-side.

Just got the album and I'm loving the title song. matt, have you got yours yet? and if so, what do you think of it? It's been a long, long time no see, but WELCOME BACK MOZ! Been a way for a few days Mimmi, but I honestly think it's my favourite since You Are The Quarry. He sounds reinvigorated and the album sounds brilliant. I wasn't so keen on Years of Refusal - it's one of my least favourite Morrissey albums. A bit one dimensional in the sound and too 'meat and potatoes' rock for my liking but I'm loving the musical and lyrical variety of World Peace. Inevitably, it is my summer album, but my summer's are always raining anyway! P.S. Mimmi - everyone rates their order of preference of Smiths albums, but what's your order of preference for Morrissey's solo material? Here's my rank of his solo albums. 1. Vauxhall and I 2. Your Arsenal 3. Viva Hate 4. You Are The Quarry 5. World Peace Is None of Your Business 6. Southpaw Grammar 7. Ringleaders of the Tormentors 8. Years of Refusal 9. Kill Uncle 10. Maladjusted * If I had to include Bona Drag on there, it would definitely make the top three. It could interchange with Vauxhall and I and Your Arsenal at the top, there's really nothing between these three albums as I constantly listen to them.

More I listen to this album, more I'm loving it. The title song, I'm Not A Man and Istanbul are my favourites. I wasn't a big fan of Years of Refusal too, but this album is truly worth to wair for 5 years. I can talk non-stop about The Smiths, but I believe you know more about Moz solo stuff than me, matt. My most favourite his solo album is still Viva Hate, followed by Your Arsenal, You Are The Quarry and Ringleaders of the Tourmentors and this new album is definitely one of the best 5. I really really hope to see him soon again, but this gentleman only played in the city(venue) where he never played before and I've been to the most unlikely places when I saw him twice in 2009. Carry on Moz.
