'on the palm of her hand is a blister' is his lowest moment for me.

I honestly can't say a worst , man is a legend lyrically to me. ,,,,, I never liked Columbia start , so gun to head , I know I'm in a minority. But the opening of Columbia is my least favorite.

It's those two words that kill the song, any other two words would have made it a lot less cheesy! I think the strawberry lemonade line fits perfectly. The song is about a lost and depressed dude who meets this girl, and she shows him things from her childhood. What fits childhood better than strawberry lemonade? The strawberry lemonade thing isn't even on my radar. Noel has FAR worse lyrics in other songs.

"I'd like to be under the sea, but I'd probably need a phone" is definitely the worst! Worse than Little James and I Can See A Liar put together IMO.

It's not technically Oasis but 'I want a piece of the world and everyone inside my mouth' is ludicrous

If you're going to look at lyrics out of context to the song, then there are probably loads. I don't think Noel has any bad lyrics within the context of the song... Except for "... Up and down like a road"

There are only a few:
"I can see a liar/sitting by the fire"
"a want a piece of the world and everyone inside my mouth" (perfect song apart from that line!)
and, as I've been reminded here, "jumping up and down like a toad"

Take me away, just for today? What's wrong with that? Haha. Goes to show just how subjective these things are.

Here’s the thing about most Oasis lyrics. I don’t think you should take the words very literally. Let’s use Some Might Say as an example. The verses are aphorisms people say, and how easy it is to contradict them. Fair enough. Then the chorus references train stations, sinks full of fishes and itchy dogs. When you look at the words all together in a literal package, it doesn’t make much sense.
But here’s the magic of Oasis lyrics is that I don’t find in other artists. As soon as you put the words to music, it takes on a life of its own...and all of a sudden the lyrics somehow make perfect sense. Listen to the passion, the pent-up energy, and the delivery of the way Liam sings “In need of education in the raaaaiiiinnnn”…you’re feeling what he’s singing. That’s why people rarely ever bring up SMS as an example of a song with bad lyrics.
You bet your ass when I’m in the car, and the chorus of Some Might Say drops, I’m nodding in agreement, singing along with Liam to every word, like it’s the most profound shit I’ve ever heard…even though the words themselves are not.
Because of this quality, if someone asks me what this song is about...I can say, “It’s about how life is unfair and hypocritical, but instead of moping about it, you can have a laugh and enjoy yourself instead and not take things too seriously.” I’m so confident that’s what this song is about, that I’m sure if I ever told it to Noel he’d agree with me.
In Oasis songs, the lyrics don’t represent the dictionary definitions of the words, they are symbolic of feelings. That fucking EUPHORIC sounding guitar solo to fade out SMS has as much weight to me as a lyric as the actual words do. Because it represents a feeling…it tells me what the song is all about.
When you look at it through that lens, what’s the fucking point of saying a song like She’s Electric has shitty lyrics? It’s a silly song about a guy with commitment issues that’s in love with a girl with an eccentric family. That’s the entire fucking point of the song…and the lyrics do its job in conveying that.
Anyway, that’s my opinion on this subject. Hopefully you guys see this the same way I do.

"Made a meal and threw it up on sunday"
There are also two "meh" instances I can think of where he rhymes with the same word:
"Do you keep the receipts for the friends that you buy? And ain't it bittersweet you were only just getting by?" "Hate the way that you've taken back everything you've given to me. And the way that you'd always say it's nothing to do with me."

always thought Columbia's lyrics were a little embarrassing as well but the only thing that justifies them is the way liam sings them. basically anyone else would sound really stupid singing "this is confusion/ am i confusing you?" "this is peculiar/ we don't want to fool ya"
