2 Oasis songs in a setlist of 18 is nothing. People should just stop bitching about it, it's getting old. Don't mind them playing Oasis songs, I just feel like there are other songs to play other than Champagne Supernova. It's the one song I'd personally have an issue with whether Beady Eye or Noel played it.

I quite like that they are rotating the Oasis songs in and out. I like the idea that you are guaranteed a surprise or 2 when you go to see Beady Eye, something which didn't happen with Oasis in the end. Still waiting for Gas Panic! to be played though, that's when shit gets real.

They really should cycle through the songs Oasis never played live. And after they've done all those, start going through the rarely played Oasis songs.
Should be "new" Oasis songs at every gig. Nothing played more than once until they've made it through all the playable songs.

Listened to that too....sounds like a good attempt. I'm not expecting a note for note rendition. He remains in the key of the song...that's really all that should matter.

From now on, I'm tring to look the bright side of them. manic's post has a sense. At least they change their setlist now and then, very unlikely Oasis, BUT they're not Oasis. It's very unfair towards them to keep compare them to Oasis.
I've said this often, so forgive me if I'm annoying. Liam nearly kicked my forehead in the end of their gig last month. People are still speculating if he was under the influence of the drugs at that night. To be honest I don't care if he was or not. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. I just want to say that he was very gentle in person when I met him before the gig.
Anyway, I was one of those who complained about them playing two Oasis songs, but now I'm more like "let them play. Sure those songs were written by Noel, but they also have been part of Liam".
I hope Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris (also Jay) will carry on with what they started even things are going not easy around them at the moment.

I like BDI but i don't think that they deserve to play in front of 15 000 people everywhere they go. They are not that good and you cant blame music scene for that. In fact strong music scene will just put focus somewhere else and they will be even more irrelevant and unpopular.

Pretty weird way to put it. There are smaller bands or artists of quality we might think should get more attention and some like Bieber who we think should get less but it is what it is. You may not think they are good but if 8,000 people in Japan think they are and 3,000 in England think they are then what you think is irrelevant.

Beady Eye are the best Oasis cover band. I hope they play Slide Away and D'You Know What I Mean? Next. I don't mind them playing songs like Slide Away, Live Forever, and C&A. But personally, when I think of Champagne Supernova, for some reason, that song more than most, just seems to be perfectly made to highlight both Liam and Noel, like Some Might Say. Which is why, more than most, for me it's truly an "Oasis song". It's the one song I don't think they should have done. It's the one I wish they had waited until the one day, maybe in the distant future, for Oasis to be reformed. I had a harder time with Slide Away than Champagne Supernova personally in terms of song choice. It's my favourite Oasis song and I think it definitely doesn't sounds really good without Noel backing vocals.

That space stuff on the screen behind them during Champagne Supernova is probably the best thing about it. I don't mind Beady Eye playing Oasis songs but on the other hand the reunion if it ever happens is going to be less exciting than it could have been if they didn't play them cause it's going to be Beady Eye playing more Oasis songs only with Noel. It's like drinking some cheap champagne every day instead of drinking very expensive champagne once a year on New Years Eve or some special occasion.

Why did Andy play bass in Oasis? It seems to me that he plays more lead than Gem these days..

Worlds not set in stone again. Jesus, it's horrible song. I quite liked it when I heard it live but was disappointed with the finished version. I don't think it's a poor addition if it is the early upbeat rendition.
