I think what we can gather from this is that if you look at the songs written by Liam, they're all pretty damn good.
Sadly I think they were quite overshadowed in Oasis, Noel made the hits and knew how to do it.
That's why when they formed Beady Eye I thought it would be great, Liam writing songs with Gem and Andy like the DBTT days. I honestly love that album to bits because of the collaboration.
Sadly with Beady Eye, I feel like most of the songs on DGSS were thin on the ground lyrically.
BE IMO was a big improvement on that front but still lacking, although some absolute corkers like Evil Eye make me keep the faith.

Born On a Different Cloud is an amazing song and so underrated. It would definitely be in my top 10 Oasis songs. I've always favoured the overlooked and underrated songs from Oasis like Gas Panic, Listen Up etc. I've never liked Wonderwall for example and personally think BOADC is far superior. But that's just me.

I'm not sure how you feel about the live version, but it is pretty much the only version I like. BOADC is also one of my favorite Oasis songs as Jack mentioned, but I rarely listen to the album version. |

Great performance. I feel the same about Gas Panic, its probably my favourite oasis tune, but I only ever really listen to the live versions cos they're better than the album version. I'd love to hear a remix of BOADC, by UNKLE or in the same way the BE tracks were remixed.

Born On A Different Cloud was one i always thought i'd downloaded wrong when i got the discography back in about 2005 haha.
Always sounds a bit crackly and unfinished. They recorded it without a producer didnt they?

Pushing it a bit by including Flick of the Finger but I remember Gem saying it was a Liam song and him and Andy had helped with the lyrics so that'll do for me. There's 3 cracking slow tempo songs on there (I'm Outta Time also) but he can't write a rocker to save his life
