I'm gonna say what Noel said on Lord Don't Slow Me Down. That everyone seems to make a massive deal out of both of them arguing and the 2 people who least give a shit are Noel and Liam. Enough said about the subject really. "Come on now, give peace a chance, take my hand, be a man..."

if Noel was to talk about Beady Eye it would kind of 'steal their thunder' ... you know, they don't need (or especially want) 'The Chief's' nod of approval to be a good band. they deserve the chance to let their own music speak for itself and any comments Noel makes good or bad are going to get the attention and not their actual music. so I think he's showing respect by not speaking of it and giving them a proper chance to fly solo The problem is that the music isn't speaking for itself. Everyone has run off after DGSS. If Noel gives a little nod of approval, it might motivate some of his own fans to check out the new and improved, second try.

Approval from Noel would be nice. But why should he bother? Liam has said nothing about good about his own efforts. Liam went out of his way to insult it even. And it is quite clear it comes from jealousy of Noel's success after the split.

The only time he's really mentioned them was at the first press conference where he said they were alright, although he was quite obviously implying they were shite. I thought he'd completely ignore the question, it was actually refreshing to hear him comment on it even if he didn't exactly say much.
Other than that he's pretty much ignored the subject other than "they need a hit", which I took as more of a dig at Liam than anything else. I think it'd actually be more insulting if he was to lavish them with false praise than slag them off.
Thing is - and I say this as a big Beady Eye fan - they're not exactly mainstream are they? From a musical perspective there's not really any reason for him to comment, the only link is Liam and neither are shy in slagging each other off anyway

Maybe I' m wrong but Noel has always respected Gem and would not publicly slagg off his work even if he would think so. I thought Noel said something like Beady Eye r good rock' n' roll band and his music is different. Noel commenting Beady Eye would be good for BE I reckon, might have done them a favour

Noel and Gem remain good friends. And I don't think Noel can be bothered saying more things about BE that would just get pounced on by the press again anyway. He says what he thinks, that's it. Whatever's going on between him and Liam can't really be separated from his opinion about BE anyway. As far as I've seen, Noel is quite diplomatic when it comes to BE and has never criticized their music. BE does their thing, he does his. At this point, I'm not sure if any publicity by Noel for BE would really help them. I think it'd just be press fodder. People who don't like BE aren't going to change their minds based on Noel's word (and especially if those same people also don't care for Noel either).
