I went to see Beady Eye last night & it was awesome but at some parts of the set it really fell away and it got me thinking about the set list and the release of singles. Beady Eye seem to be under achieving and I'm sure it's down to someone picking the wrong songs all the time.
For example in the set list last night it dropped off bad and the crowd didn't respond to: The Worlds Not Set In Stone, Soon Comd Tommorow, Start Anew & Wigwam and it made me think how beady eye keep seeking to push the Liam Gallagher written songs at the expense of better songs. Thy didn't play Millionaire or Off At The Next exit and they should. Also work not set in stone should never of been a single.
As for the singles they get that so wrong too. Without question Soul Love, Iz Right should of been singles but not on the same release especially not so TWNSIS could be relseased or Second Bite Of the apple.
Maybe Liam is leading and he is leading them to mediocrity. They have better material than they reflect.

I went to see Beady Eye in Dublin at the beginning of the tour and as far as I am aware the set list has stayed the same throughout, the curse of the Gallaghers so it seems. But to claim that Start Anew and Wigwam should be dropped from the set list for mediocre songs like Millionaire, is insanity. BE are touring their newest album, BE, and have tried to take a side step from DGSS, without fully leaving it behind.
Four Letter Word, The Roller, Wigwam and Bring The Light (with added brass, which I feel has vastly improved the song) have all been kept around, much to my delight.
I would tend to agree that they are using the wrong bside to BE, with the choice of The World's Not Set In Stone and they should be using Off At The Next Exit, Back After The Break and Evil Eye.

I could not agree more, Ruairi. BE the management son!

Completely disagree, set list was class. They built it up, dropped it, built it up, dropped it. It worked a treat in my opinion. If anything just one song in the encore was a bit poor. But for £27.50 it was mega and is the best gig I have been to.
