Temples are set to release their debut album 'Sun Structures' on February 10, 2014, via Heavenly Recordings.
The LP was produced by James Bagshaw of the band and recorded at his home in Kettering. It was mixed by Claudius Mittendorfer. Click here to listen to 'Mesmerise' from the album, which will be released as a single on January 13. Speaking about the record's DIY element, Bagshaw commented: "It's similar to Joe Meek – he used to record vocals in his bathroom in his flat on Holloway Road. The way I see it, there aren't any limitations any more. If you know what you want to achieve, there's always a way around it." The 'Sun Structures' tracklisting is: 'Shelter Song' 'Sun Structures' 'The Golden Throne' 'Keep In The Dark' 'Mesmerise' 'Move With The Season' 'Colours To Life' 'A Question Isn't Answered' 'The Guesser' 'Test Of Time' 'Sand Dance' 'Fragment’s Light'New Single "Mesmerise"soundcloud.com/templesofficial/temples-mesmerise

FINALLY!!!
I just saw them 17 days ago again and they were brilliant although it was a very short set (less than an hour). Hopefully to see them again once the alubm is out.
Thanks Lennon!

Very much looking forward to this, and seeing them in London on 8th March.
Short interview + nice live version of 'Mesmerise' here:
Does anyone have any mp3's of any live/unofficial tracks?
Cheers

Kinda let down by the album. Some good songs, but it drags a bit....

I purchased this album on Vinyl and I'm loving it, only problem with the Vinyl copy is swapping the damn thing over after 3 songs, hope to see them live one day.

I think it's a crackin' album, starts stronger than it ends but still very good.

Same here: great album! First I was a little bit disapointed when I first heard the new songs, because the singles are powerful. But listen after listen, the album is really good. I hope I'll see them live.
I nearly bought a ticket for Rough Trade this month but finally I didn't do it (15 hours of train for 1h hour of show...).

Really liked the album, though I thought it tailed off towards the end a bit. The title track and Mesmerise are probably my favourite tracks from it.
I'm looking forward to seeing them live next Monday, saw them twice last year, once supporting Tame Impala and at their own gig, and thought they were good at their own gig. Hoping for a longer set this time now the album's out.

Listened to it today for the first time and really enjoyed it,there isn't a bad track on it,maybe it's a bit too monotonous, but after all it's a really good record

Thanks for the link Mimmi, the anticipation's building to see their live show in two weeks... I recently got the free 4 track live CD that was given away with copies of the album from Rough Trade - is it ok to post the tracks on here? Whilst it's an official release, it's not officially for sale...keen to share, within the rules of course

Whilst it's an official release, it's not officially for sale...keen to share, within the rules of course Thanks for the video, deasc11. You can't post the tracks from free live CD on here as, just like you mentioned, it's an official release. If you have an account on youtube or soundcloud, you can upload the tracks and post the link on here, but if you don't have those account, it's ok. Thanks for offering anyway. The first time when I saw them, they played in a upstairs venue in a tiny pub (Eurosonic in January last year). It was packed and they plaeyd less than half an hour. The second time when I saw them was in a small venue in November last year. It was packed again and they played less than an hour. Hopefully they'll play a bit longer next time when I see them in April.

It's well worth getting if you can source a copy. Will look into soundcloud... Kicking myself for not seeing them last year in Brighton at a small venue. Doesn't sound like they would have played long tho, judging by your previous experiences! I'm sure they'll be on for longer this next time around. Cheers

I have nothing against The Moons, but their 2 albums are quite average. (their 3rd album is on the way) In that case, James took a good step to form his own band, Temples.

Would agree that I was slightly disappointed with the album on first listen but it's a definite grower, just don't think there's many tracks where you're like "wow this is a fucking tune" I think most of the tracks are just decent. Still good for a debut album though. Would say Keep In The Dark is my favourite song.
Was too slow in getting a ticket for them in Scotland this time so I'm hoping they'll do another tour soon.

Huuge grower of an album.

Just back from seeing them in Glasgow, thought they were quite good though they're still not brilliant live. Some songs work better live than others.
Those hoping for a longer set will probably be disappointed, they played for about an hour, encore included, and the encore was just an extended version of Mesmerise.

Do they even have enough material to go past an hour? I'd say this is probably just about right for a new band.

Yeah I'd say an hour is fair, just seen a few people wanting longer sets from them and thought they might be expecting a bit more.
