ok so im thinking og buying familiar to millions on dvd but i read this on the official site
"The VHS version of 'Familiar to Millions' contains a special documentary, 'Mad Fer It', which includes backstage footage and interviews with Noel and Liam. The DVD version of 'Familiar to Millions' also contains a whole host of additional features, you can find out more about them here. 'Familiar to Millions' is available in six formats; DVD, VHS, Double CD, Double Cassette, Double MiniDisc and limited Triple Vinyl. For more information, see the feature on it's release from Special Events. 'Fuckin In The Bushes' contains samples from Murray Lerner's film 'Message To Love - Isle Of Wight 1970'. Used courtesy of Castle Music Pictures / Pulsar Productions. 'Go Let It Out' contains elements from 'I Walk On Gilded Splinters', performed by Johnny Jenkins. Used courtesy of Mercury Records under licence from Universal Music Special Markets, Inc. "
does this mean the VHS has got more than the dvd? could someone please clearify what other features are avaliable on this on VHS and DVD other than the concert itself? cheers.

It's definitely worth the money. Not as good as There And Then but it's great concert footage. Not sure about the whole DVD Vs. VHS thing. I'm guessing the DVD has more footage considering it can hold more then the VHS.

There & Then includes Roll with it and Acquiesce videos, and audio from Knebworth and Earls court ( Champagne supernova, wonderwall) If I remember correctly..

I got a DVD player after I got it on VHS, so I have both that and the DVD. The DVD has everything the VHS does and a lot more.
And yeah, get There And Then too. Not as many features as FTM but still grand.

I got There and Then first... and honestly... I wish I had bought Familiar to Millions first. I don't even think I would have bothered buying There and Then.
Familiar blows There and Then away. From the crowd, to the music, to the interviews, to the multi-angles on C&A, to the documentary... everything is just superior. Don't forget There and Then was made in 96 compared with 00, so the presentation doesn't even compare. The version of Cigs and Alchohol on Millions is just absolutely insane. It's rediculously good.
Plus, if you have a HDTV (like I do) Familiar is in HD.

FTM is a great DVD, but I've got to say that There and Then is better.
To note further, Live By The Sea is the best. Most people don't really dig it but I think it's fucking massive

I think that Supersonic on T&T has one of the best Liam vocals ever.

I've got both versions of FTM - the video version is definitely worth having for the half hour documentary which includes good interviews with Liam and Noel and some tour footage. You should be able to pick it up real cheap on eBay.

Cast No Shadow and Round Are Way on T & T are MEGA
Also, does anyone notice that during Noel's guitar thing near the end of CS on T & T, there is a bit of a riff from the bridge of Gas Panic? And I can hear a very very small piece of a riff from the beginning of Turn Up The Sun (right before Liam sings the first verse of TUTS) in the Swamp Song! And Noel didn't even write TUTS! So wild to hear that when those songs were YEARS away from being recorded, but THEY ARE THERE... you have to listen close...
I have the FTM CD, I would buy a DVD copy of it if I could find it in a store... maybe I'll get it online

But I´m not sure about this..

"Bawwwwwww-daw-dawwwwwwww-dawwwwwwww... Bawwwwwww-daw-daw-dawwwwwwwwwwww...... Bawwwwwww-daw-daw-dawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"...." He repeats it twice... The one in the swamp song is REAL quick, but I caught it, it's the little riff Noel plays in TUTS, right before the first verse: "Bawwwwwww-dawwwwwwwwwwwww....... Bawwwwwww-dawwwwwwwwwwwwww........ Bawwwwwww-daw, baw-daw-----baww-dawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....." ("I carry a madness"...)

he probably did write alot of the music to it, i think when it comes to that they all give ideas for the song anyway.

Live By The Sea is my favourite. They were playing at proper venues rather than stadiums, it was the original line up, they weren't massive yet, Liam's voice was at it's best and they played Headshrinker.

To be honest, I think you're being a bit overly picky there. Total coincidence.
