The defence is now at a horror stage, with losing 3 out of 4 of your back line that have been together 6+ years and not replacing them is worrying. No leader or experience at the back. The 3 starting last weekend had a total of 70 odd games between them! I don't think Rojo will be the answer but if he can steady the ship it will give a bit of breathing space. He had a good world cup and thats all I can judge him by so hopefully he slots right in. RvP is still recovering from injury, needs his fitness to stay and Rooney better step up. Crazy money for DiMaria but that was always going to be the case. Too many below average players in the squad, but I can see better results on the horizon

Looks as though we have given up on bringing players through the academy now we are spending stupid money on players we don't need.

2 great signings (Falcao, Di Maria)..they really need to sign 2 quality centre backs though cos they will suffer in defence!

This year will be chelsea or city's for sure, I can't see anyone else competing unless Balotelli pulls his socks up and finds his form. Liverpool have a pretty good team, with someone like Balotelli on form they can definitely fight for second or even first place.
Its going to be hard to compete with Chelsea this year though

I can't see Chelsea blowing this. They just keep coming It only 3 games into the season, a lot can happen! Delighted with blind and falcao at united although would of preferred a center half who was just a center half. Hopefully everything clicks after the international break Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And both Spurs and Liverpool lost this weekend, too.
Here's hoping a draw between Citeh and Chelsea.

Last message, until next week's humiliation:
Did LVG really say United should have won? You conceded five goals, you dick.

Last message, until next week's humiliation: Did LVG really say United should have won? You conceded five goals, you dick. I do like Van Gaal, but comments like these are almost Roy Hodgson-esque and almost worrying that he can't even put it in context for United fans. Their attack was fine - and if football was a game based on points win like boxing via attacks, they'd have won. Maybe that's the rules he wants - after all, the English media seem convinced he invented the game after all? But anyone with common sense knows football is an all-round attack/defence game - defending like United did was criminal. The Premier League is a very see-saw league with see-saw games, I wonder if he is underestimating the attacking intent (from the opposition) of the teams in the league, in that its much different to Spain and Netherlands in that attacks are less methodical and more direct, piling players forward. Perhaps a bit more naive way to attack, but nonetheless effective for much English teams. Perhaps Van Gaal needs to sort this out rather than deluding himself - the latter of which is worrying for United fans.

Should of never given away a two goal lead, their 2 winning goals were the same, no lesson learned on the pitch. Proved going forward we are great but in my lifetime United have never had a leaky defence, loads of dodgy players in there over the years but there was always someone who could organise the back 4. 3 center halfs doesn't work without experience in there and when the likes of Smalling, Jones, Blackett and even Johnny Evans are starting week in week out it is always worrying. Rojo as i said before isn't the answer. I would like to see Blind pushed right back and even go back to the flat back 4. Worrying times despite all the talent on show, still think van gaal is the right man tho.

They didn't give MOYES enough time , they better not make another rash move at gaffer spot , still think moyes was too quick , vintage Yankees when they sucked

He was well out of his depth. Only got it as a fellow Scot from Sir Alex's recommendation. Poor tactics and training, lost the dressing room, negative football, abysmal in the transfer market. He inherited a championship winning squad, albeit a year older, and what should of been a decent season turned us into a laughing stock that the new manager hasn't had to time to sort out yet. Your captain and one of your best players announcing he was leaving the club in December!!? Still a laughing stock at the moment but at least our trajectory is the right way now. Van Gaal is a world class manager but hasn't adapted to the English game as quick as he has in other countries. Even tho I supported Moyes as manager I never had faith in him which I do in Van Gaal.

Why is LVG getting such an easy ride? This is United's worst start to a season since 1986/87, meaning he's doing worse than Moyes. Further, LVG knew the problems with Utd prior to taking over, whereas Moyes did not, and LVG has also spent a fucking shit ton of cash on new players, too. I'm no fan of Moyes. He's a very average and over-rated manager. But why is everyone going easy on LVG? Hell, United have had piss easy fixtures thus far, too. For fuck's sake. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29873988

For fuck's sake. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29873988Because he is a much more complete manager. Yes we have had a poor start but I'm much more confidant in him than Moyes. Playing much better football but defensively have been shocking. Moyes inherited a championship winning squad albeit a year older but not over the hill. Won the league at a canter and only Scholes who came in as backup missing. The defence was again but Moyes managed to lose the dressing room and club captain wanting out from December. Also freezing out Rio (i'm not a huge fan but would of liked him around for his experience/back up this season). Playing wise United are attacking once more, this has always been the United way not "we are going to make things hard for Newcastle". Mentally is rising again under LVG after crashing below what could of been imaginable. If Moyes was still in charge would DiMaria be at United? Falcao? Blind? Would they fuck! Moyes overspent on Fellaini and Mata, with the latter needed to come in tho. Yes DiMaria's price tag was too high but we were bent over backwards from the start with that one but to get one of the best midfielders around is always a plus. Falaco is another top, top acquisition. Not banging in the goals yet but playing good football and only recently back from injury. The only area I criticise LVG is a huge one and that's costing us points is the defence. After losing 3 of the back 4 that have been the rock over the best part of 8 or so season is a huge loss. Rojo I'm ok with and delighted Shaw is in but he's still nowhere near a top class footballer yet. Needed a commanding center half who can organise the back line. He has been unlucky here too as I don't think there has been one defender who hasn't been injured for some time yet and only 3 months into the season. McNair & Blackett have been brought through the youth system and hopefully will learn and get stronger. Smalling & Jones are not experienced enough to to the job a proper center half should do. Rafael is still too eccentric but good to have most the time. We played away to the league champions with 2 midfielders in the back line. LVG is the right man, stats don't prove everything.

How far both teams have sunk. This is now the final nail in last era's coffin. The new era is now firmly between Citeh and Chelsea (the c......unts)

People who compare Moyes's points tally to LVG's are either massively anti-united, idiots, or have never watched football. Under LVG I am confident we will come back. Under Moyes, from the day we lost to City 4-1, it was a case of when - not if - he would lead us down the table
