Yes, the reports I have come across said although he did use backing tracks but when he rapped live he was pretty incredible.
The hip hop gigs I have seen in person I was pretty unimpressed for the most part although they had some redeeming moments.

Don't like the name...there's no chance it'll live up to the original MMLP so why even bring in the comparisons...
First single was released last night:
The chorus is great, not sure wtf is even going on with the verses.

His singles are usually more carefree than his album tracks so I expect some darker stuff to sit among the inevitable hit singles that come from the record.

Already #1 on iTunes in most places.
#StanPower
On a serious note, I have no idea what to expect. This could be anything from mindblowingly amazing to a complete trainwreck. Eminem hasn't delivered a true classic album since 2002 so I don't know. Guess I'll remain cautiously optimistic for now.

I heard it on the radio and I thought it was Beastie Boys. The 'Kick It!' in the first verse is surely a sample of the Beastie Boys?

"Redemption" would have been a much better album title imo.

"Redemption" would have been a much better album title imo. But he already did the "re" thing twice with Relapse and Recovery. I would've liked to seen him go in a completely new direction tbh. Either way, I doubt naming it MMLP was Eminem's idea to begin with or that the music will be anything like the original MMLP. It all seems like a cheap marketing trick so far.

I reckon it's gonna be more aggressive than the last two records, and more like MMLP. I reckon it'll be quite good, and isn't gonna have the shitey pop thing like Rihanna collabs that put me off him post-Curtain Call.

Can say he really interests me anymore, from what I've heard on the radio of his new tunes it sounds incessantly irritating.

Don't like Survival, Rihanna and Skyler Grey singing his hooks are getting boring also. The dude from Fun doesn't belong on a MMLP sequel either. Yeah the track-list has me worried.

I don't like the album title because of the pressure it has on him to release an album as good as, if not better than, the Marshall Mathers LP. When you consider the music he's put out since his comeback, I don't think he has it in him to do it.

The two songs I've heard from it are really growing on me. Time will tell I guess.

Looking forwards to this, though tbh I like most of his albums. Encore was the weakest for me and that still has its high spots.
