I believe last time before Noel's first album came out there was a ton of speculation of who people would want to appear on a Noel solo album. So who do you love to see Noel bring on as a guest on his next album?
Note: You can name anyone, producer, singer, musician, just don't mention Damon Albarn. I think it's already well documented that a lot people want Damon on a Noel album at some point. Try throwing some other names out there.
Mine would be: Florence Welch, especially considering Noel used a decent amount of female vocals on his first solo album.

I would love to see Alex Turner but that's more of a "I would love to see" rather than "I can definitely see it happening".

Florence Welch, yeah, that would be awesome. She's great!
But I'd like to see Johnny Marr.

Last thing I want on a NG album are guests running potential great songs, none of them could hold a candle up to his songwriting anyway.
Maybe production help here and there and some guest guitarists to play solos would be nice (something that was sorely lacking on the first album) but duets seem like a horrible idea.

Great thread! Here's a few suggestions... Guest guitarist - Johnny Marr Producer & engineer - Brendan Lynch & Max Heyes (Lynch Mob - love the sound of the Paul Weller and OCS albums they've worked on. Plus they also worked on Liam and Steve Craddock's cover of Carnation. Great version and, sonically, I really like the spaciousness, clarity and dynamics on this track. That acoustic guitar sounds fantastic).
Mastering engineer - Steve Hoffman (I understand he mainly works on reissues of classic albums, but they always sound fantastic to me. Plus he has a policy of not brickwalling anything... and I'd be interested in hearing Noel's great songs with more of their dynamics intact)

I know I'm gonna get ripped apart for this, but I'd love to see him do something with Chris Martin, I bet they could bang out a few catchy flagwavers. I'd also like to see him work with Lady Gaga, it would be interesting to hear the outcome. Noel has always been a master of good melodies and it would interesting to see him work with someone outside of his norm, instead of the obvious Paul Weller, Chemical Bros, AA etc etc

Bob Ezrin or Butch Vig, or another producer with fresh ideas. I'd like him to work with any singer, I'm sure he could sort something out.

Yes to Chris Martin, the melodies they could come up with would be amazing

I also love the idea of Alex Turner. He's also on a bit of a songwriting run too. Also I really like his voice.
As a guest vocalist I could see Fiest. She did a guest spot on a Wilco track a few years back and I think her and Noel's voice could blend together fairly well

How is Jamie N Commons perceived in UK? I've heard his name thrown around over here as an upcoming artist to keep an eye on.

Johnny Marr for a guitar solo Paul Weller for an acoustic song Sergio Pizzorno for a bit of madness Chris Martin for a universal catchy chorus But most of all I'd like to see them all on the same stage. You may say I'm a dreamer... (you now the end )

This might sound ridiculous, but if Noel does a contribution with any female before me I will be really upset!!! Haha
Paul McCartney! Alex Turner! JACK WHITE!

Bruce Springsteen, haha!
More realistically, Florence Welch is a great shout. I think he's a fan too, been seen at gigs of theirs.

I'd be happy with anyone that isn't in Noel's usual wheelhouse. So no Paul Weller. No Johnny Marr. Anything that can get Noel out of his comfort zone.

I already figured that Rita And I like the thought of Jack White. He didn't automatically spring to mind, but that would definitely be an interesting combination.

I love Jack White. But no way a collaboration with Noel would ever work.
