My Beady Eye collection is pretty basic. This is not because I'm not bothered but now with things like ebay, the floodgates of the collectors world are wide open. You can find pretty much anything and everything and spend a LOT of money in the process. Not that it isnt worthwhile etc but, you know.
DGSS CD and LP each of the 5 DGSS singles (the first 3 in the US record store box), the others standard versions I think Beady Eye t-shirt from the the gig (with album artwork) BE standard CD, deluxe CD, Japanese CD, and LP
That's it for now I'm afraid. There's still Oasis stuff I'm after and that takes priority.

"The track itself varies from the album version very slightly with a different dynamic range" Interesting...

Nice find Jim even if I find that tune to be absolute dog shit. Your passion for collecting remains unmatched.

"The track itself varies from the album version very slightly with a different dynamic range" Interesting... I'll rip a FLAC version this week, hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I had an mp3 rip on rkid003 a while ago but the link will probably be dead by now so will sort that out too.

Nice find Jim even if I find that tune to be absolute dog shit. Your passion for collecting remains unmatched. It is pretty shit... I have went right off it after thinking it was not bad when I first heard it. I don't mind the way the band played it live but I certainly didn't miss it on the BE tour the twice I saw them. Picked it up purely for the rarity value.

Those two songs for me at least represented everything I didn't like about Beady Eye. Sounded like Oasis covers to me. Not good.

I agree, I don't really listen to the album anymore as such, it's now a playlist on my iPod. Four Letter Word Beatles and Stones (Drum Intro Mix) The Roller World Outside My Room In The Bubble With a Bullet Bring the Light Three Ring Circus The Morning Sun Wigwam Sons of The Stage I don't mind Millionaire, when I heard it at the ABC in Glasgow on the BE tour they played it slightly different, a bit heavier and it worked pretty well as did the extended outro on Bring the Light. I just wish the album versions were a bit more like the live takes as that's where Beady Eye's magic is for me when it comes to a lot of the first albums songs.

I couldn't agree more with that fan made Beatles and Stones with the extended drum intro. Sounds killer!!!! Not sure who created it but hats off to them. That's the ONLY version that lives in my iTunes. Deleted the proper version. I always liked Millionaire. It has a certain charm and sounded totally different than anything Oasis ever did. Love the bouncy nature of the tune. Sons of The Stage might be the best song Beady Eye ever recorded. Sadly it was a cover...................

I very rarely listen to it but I don't mind KFAD, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure I guess as it certainly is a bit cringe worthy. I listened to it loads when the album first came out. I cant believe its approaching 3 years since DGSS came out!

You'll have either "Mr Sifter" or myself's version of the drum mix, we both had a wee shot at it. Can't understand why it wasn't used, it's a magic intro, gets you dancing! The version of Sons of The Stage from Maida Vale was fantastic, guitars just sounded so raw and loud! Even Zane Lowe at the end was blown away!

That fan made drum intro taken from the DGSS dvd menu screen I believe, always reminded me of the song "The Ox" by The Who. Truly a lost Who classic.
