I think it's still too early for best albums of 2013, but I like to keep this section moving, and was pretty curious in what you guys like that I might have missed.
My top songs of 2013 made up right now - I didn't repeat artists, which seems a shame because some of the songs are clearly better than the rest of their output while others could be replaced by any X number of songs they put out this year.
1. Sigur Ros - Brennensteinn 2. Frightened Rabbit - Nitrous Gas 3. Beady Eye - Soon Come Tomorrow 4. The National - This is the Last Time 5. David Bowie - How Does the Grass Grow? 6. Jagwar Ma - Uncertainty 7. Foxygen - On Blue Mountain 8. Suede - It Starts and Ends with You 9. Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?
Couldn't come up with a tenth on short notice, wanted to post thread, watch space.
Top tracks of 2013 so far: Go!

I agree with Bittersweet Split that Soon Come Tomorrow by Beady Eye is up there with How Does the Grass Grow from Bowie, I'd be tempted to put a few more Bowie tracks up there like Boss Of Me and Where Are We Now? Going to give the new Arctic Monkeys tune a listen and if it's half as good as R U Mine? from last year, that'll be up there as well

NIce idea for a thread. Will work on a full list for later but right now I'll go with Atoms For Peace's "Ingenue". Great song, cool video.

Yeah, let's throw this one on to the fire as well. The National's "Sea of Love". Another great song with a simplistic video. Great chorus.

Nice thread! Will be useful soon (winter holidays coming here). I haven't been into recent releases lately, but I'll definitely point out Do I Wanna Know by the Arctic Monkeys.
Is there any thread like this for 2012?

Can't believe I forgot about The Strokes/Johnny Marr/Daft Punk (touched is a hell of a song). I'll be checking out a few of these in time, good effort everyone who wrote a list. always impresses me when we have members who expand their taste into music I wouldn't normally associate with Oasis, like Boards of Canada, My Bloody Valentine or even Yeezus (and all the really unknown bands I can't name)

Is there any thread like this for 2012? I just put 2012 in the Rock 'n' Roll Star search button and found this: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/74369/2012-album-yearthere might be other things too, stopped soon as I hit the first.

If you have any interest in electronic music at all, give the new Jon Hopkins a listen. Absolutely mind blowing stuff.
New Franz Ferdinand is great stuff too. Produced by some of Hot Chip and mixed by David Fridmann! You can tell, it sounds great.
