Yeah because we all know Noel doesn't work hard at his promo. Of course Noel doesn't do that. He's big enough that he doesn't have to and he's got to promote his work around the world so spending a full day meeting fans in London or Manchester isn't practical. Worth noting neither did BDI until they decided that they should film Liam and co. Noel did it for Oasis back in the day with no qualms. I don't think Liam would be doing it either if DGSS had been double platinum and he was still one of the most popular rock acts in the country. Stupid comment to put on the trailer. Why are the management feeding this Noel vs Liam bullshit? Liam isn't winning. Do you wear Team Noel t shirt at Noel's gig ? The truth is hard for you isn't it?

What truth ? I don't care about who's bigger. I enjoy their music, I don't care for wich one is the most successfull, the music is a better thing to like than commercial success. I was just poiting out that you bite like a dog everytime someone attacks your hero Noel G. You fit right into gem's quote
GA: I think there’s three kinds of fans: we’re talking about the Noel diehards, the Liam diehards and the ones who go, "shut the fuck up, both of you! We’ve got twice as much music". Look, we have passionate, rabid people following us, man. But it’s another facet to it. I’ve been to Noel gigs where girls are sat with Team Noel written on their t-shirts and few rows back was someone with a Pretty Green t-shirt so it’s all part of the lingo, isn’t it?
So do you have the team Noel t shirt ?

What was the point of that quote. Why does he need to be described as a better person than Noel is that central to his personality? Just move on. The Noel vs Liam comparisons aren't doing anyone any favours. Least of all Liam. He complains about being asked about Oasis and Noel but BDI are just begging for it. Stuff like this, a song called Don't Brother me?

gdforever needs to relax... why get so pissed over a comment someone you don't even know made when talking about a pair of brothers that neither you or him know? What was the point of showing the women wearing "Team Noel" t-shirts on the International Magic 02 gig?

Noel's name shouldn't even be mentioned in a Beady Eye documentary. He has nothing to do with the band.

PMSL Actually very possible they didn't. It's only a trailer. There's many ways one can approach film/tv making, but one popular way(due to it's effectiveness) is to always go for big drama. Without it there wouldn't be conflicts and, in most cases, there wouldn't be no suspense or story. Unless that documentary maker decided to not take this approach, comments like that about Noel are the sort of stuff like tears in reality TV that make the makers and producers go "fuck yesss"

As the documentary is produced by Vice, I seriously doubt BE's management had any say about what's in it (beyond whether they get to interview Liam and the band and what questions they can ask). It's not "promotion." I'd be surprised if the doc even portrays Beady Eye in an entirely positive light.

He complains about being asked about Oasis and Noel but BDI are just begging for it. Stuff like this, a song called Don't Brother me? I think it's unfair to fault him for writing a song about Noel and being honest about it. I'd rather he did and put it out there, than did and thought better not to release it because he'll be asked a few questions. There's also differences in interviews as to how Noel subject is approached. If it's prompted by Liam or the band, I don't think they mind. If it's about a song Liam wrote, don't think he minds(as he's said himself). If it's just constant poking them for the next headline, trying to get them say something outrageous about Noel or slag him off, or the eternal repeated reunion questions... then it becomes a drag for them. Personally I think it's okay it keeps on popping up every now and then, it's only healthy to be honest, because they shared such a long past and might(hopefully) share a future too. And some members still have their contacts with Noel. It's just when it's over the top or only in search for big drama it's a bit meh.

PMSL You don't seem to know anything about those things and still you're very sure of yourself. I know for a fact that when a documentary like that is produced, the band management has nothing to say on the subject. It's not a documentary for promotion, It's not BDI who produced it. If the website produces it they want people to watch it and therefore Beady eye = Liam and Noel's feud = people watching it in their minds. So of course Noel is going to be mentioned at some point. Like in itw, Noel is always mentioned. Same for Noel, Liam is always mentioned in his itws. Just see this website as an itw. And stop being so sure of yourself about everything. You always speak like you're the absolute detentor of the truth when you obviously don't know anything about music buiseness, and you obvsiouly are not intimate with Noel G. So stop it.

The documentary is about the launch of BE. The perception of Beady Eye as an "underdog" only exists because of Noel, and a lot of discussion leading up to the album launch focused on whether Beady Eye could catch up to Noel. If the documentary doesn't mention Noel, then it's not covering the album launch accurately. From what I understand, this is an independent doc about the cultural "phenomenon" (a relatively minor phenomenon, of course) of Beady Eye, which like it or not is tied up with Oasis and Noel. A documentary about Beady Eye definitely should mention Noel and Oasis too. I for one am looking forward to this since it should be more interesting than the propaganda films that have been packaged with deluxe editions recently

That Noel comment cheapened the video a little bit, a very childish, irrelevant thing to say. You're right, he probably wouldn't do that, but who gives a fuck, apples and oranges.
Back on topic though, looking forward to the full length thing though, hopefully there's some good behind the scenes stuff that we haven't really gotten with these lads, not only in Beady Eye but in the last phase of Oasis - rehearsals and that kinda thing.

I would say neither Noel nor Liam have done personal album signings since Definitely, Maybe probably. The Virgin Music store around the release of DM is an example of both doing it.
That's when Oasis were still looking for every fan they could find. Small bands do this kind of thing, in terms of signings. When Oasis exploded they didn't do it anymore because they didn't need to do anymore.
GD is correct in the reason Noel wouldn't do it is because he doesn't need to do it. The reason Beady Eye are doing it is because they need every fan. That's not to say either is better than the other, but if DGSS had had the same success as HFB's I don't know if Beady Eye would be doing signings. I can't say for sure if they would or wouldn't. But again, GD is correct in saying, after DM when Oasis hit it big Liam nor Noel, and then when Beady Eye had the chance to do signings with DGSS neither Liam, Andy, Gem, nor Chris, did it. Because they didn't feel they needed to do it until DGSS tumbled the charts and BE became a must album.
Taking out "Team Liam" or "Team Noel" or Team whatever, the facts are Beady Eye needed fans to buy BE, Noel didn't need fans to buy HFB's. That's the difference between a signing and no signing in my opinion.
