Has anyone seen this yet? Does anyone know if it is coming out on DVD? I like in the states, and want to watch this soon.

Its utterly brilliant, especially the performance of Fools Gold. In the Q&A after the premier they said the DVD should be out sometime around October time.

fantastic film, saw it yesterday. really great depiction of why music means so much to so many people, bithe those who make it and those who have their whole lives affected by it. any Oasis fan will 'get' it big time. well worth seeing.

what is this ? a video of a gig? A fantastic documentary about the Roses from their early years until Fuji Rock last year. Shane Meadows followed the band from their reunion announcement in late 2011 to Fuji Rock last year. Rare early footages, warm up gig in Warringhton last year, European gigs, Heaton Park and Fuji Rock. I loved the part of Warringhton, how people had to rush for their life to be able to get the wristband and many of them have seen the band when they were younger. It wasn't not the history of the Roses, but their fans as well. and of course that drama in Amsterdam last year (I was there too)... Good to know the reason why it ended up like that. I recommend you to get it, waitingforsally.

"I Am Resurrection" was on their Amsterdam setlist, yet it wasn't played. After they finished "Love Spread", they went off stage. Ian wanted to come back, but Reni took a car and left the venue while all of us, fans were waiting for them to come back on stage. We waited and waited, then Ian came back and told us "Drummer got home. Sorry about that" and said "The drummer is a c**t". Nobody knew what happened, even the crew had no idea what was going on. On this DVD, the film maker said that Reni had a sound issue during Amsterdam gig. I got finally to hear "Resurrection" live at Sonic Mania this Summer btw.

This incident probably isn't part of the film, right?

I just wished they presented more live footage, like the rest of the rehearsal and Heaton Park.

Of course it's made for fans. Who would buy it if you're not a fan? It was nice to see their early live footage I've never seen before and a nice (and bad) memory of the gig I've been to.
Bonus disc wasn't much interested. (Sorry Mr.Meadows!)

Thanks, eva. i've watched plenty of documentaries about bands i'm not a fan of, i like the stone roses but wouldn't call myself a fan, i thought there might be some insight into the band and the period in which they made their music, turns out the film is mostly about shane meadows.
