Ive avoided them so far but was speaking to my mate who has listened to the leak like everyone else and he doesn't expect to enjoy it anymore with a better rip. To quote him 'You cant polish a turd' I've not listened to all the album, due to the poor quality of the rip, but I'm not expecting anything outstanding. My Dad listened the album this morning & said exactly the same thing! 'You cannot polish a turd'. The boys are that far behind Noel it's embarrassing. It's becoming more and more clear they NEED/NEEDED him & he doesn't need anyone. come on its getting boring.... if its not that polished to popmusic like HFB than i'm happy, but guess what, i don't write that opinion in HFB threads with stuff like "noel needs liam, without him its just boring ..."

I'm Just Saying is fucking brilliant. Sure, the lyrics are one cliche after another but my fucking god it has the vintage Oasis sound, the guitar interludes remind me of songs like Cloudburst and Bring It On Down.
This may very well be their best song, hopefully the other songs I've yet to listen to will surprise me as well, and I'm sure a proper quality version will help tons, so I refrain from calling the album shit....although there are some shockers there and very poor lyrics - cringe inducing embarrassing at times.
But I'm Just Saying is fucking brilliant - hope its a single.....

Someone let me know when a proper quality rip leaks.
I'll listen to it and give my judgement then.

i really don't get people moaning about brilliant lyrics "maybe i just really wanna know, how your garden grows" or "she's got a cousin, in fact she's got bout a dozen" aren't that meaningful either to me ... i bet if andy or liam would have come up with them people would moan about them singing about gardens or cousins.

It's: "DONT want to know how your garden grows....", That one word makes a huge difference and it's an awesome line as it responds to the proverb of the grass being greener on the other side....that line therefore signifies that the singer isn't even interested on the other side because he just wants to fly, he wants to be successful on his own. It's fucking brilliant, but that's because Noel was behind it and not ficking LAG... But I digress..

I can't understand how oasis fans are not all on their knees for soon come tomorow. It's the best ballad Liam has sung in years. It's absolutly great. And then people are praising Miles Kane and slate this album ? Really if Noel had wrote this song I'm sure everyone would love it. I don't care I really like the album so far.

If this álbum comes out under Oasis name and notes as 'written by Noel Gallagher' many of you would be fucking in the sky!!! With a shitty leak and you can honestly say that there are some quality tunes on it.

i didn't get the praise for miles kane's debut! sure it was a great album, but the same people were critisizing Beady Eye for sounding too vintage and too lennon like. have you ever heard "my fantasy" and "better left invisible" from Miles Kane's debut? especially last one is such a rip off to "Cold turkey" in my ears. but hey i enjoyed it too!

SCT / IR and IJS all have an oasis sound to them. this album already sounds better than different gear in my opinion. the only thing its missing is a song like FLW but still, i for one am very happy and cannot wait to hear the songs in good quality and the bonus tracks. thank you BE!

DGSS's lyrics really weren't too bad. TMS, WOMR, IABWAB, FLW, even Wigwam's lyrics are pretty good. For me these set of lyrics are definitely below the quality of the lyrics from DGSS. Poor lyrics happen when you're trying to rhyme for the sake of rhyming and Beady Eye on this offering does it a lot. And it is possible to think the lyrics to a song are poor, but still like a song. I don't think it's a matter of not giving them a chance. I think you judge too easily if you think that's why some people have a problem with some of the lyrics. It could be that some just don't think the lyrics are that good. To me they aren't, especially when compared to what they are capable of which makes it even more frustrating. But agree to disagree.

Some might think I'm being ungrateful, that we're lucky there's any leak at all. But I'm feeling incredibly frustrated. Its such a tease to know the tracks are there, but in such bad quality. As a result I've listened to a couple tracks but now I just don't want to anymore. I'm caught between my natural desire to listen to new Beady Eye music, but at the same time I know that if I listen too much, I'll lose that amazing first listen feel when the proper tracks are here. Rant over xD

But agree to disagree. i have to admit, that i'm not into lyrics that much. i can enjoy them but if the song as a whole sounds great, than i can live with nonsense lyrics. i love John Lennon singing about monkeys, digging ponies or walrus. and it's difficult for me to understand the lyrics from the bad quality leaks, because english is not the language i grew up with.

You have to look for decent lyrics with BDI, but there are some ok lines which are overshadowed by the majority of the lyrics being so shockingly bad.
I really like "The future gets written today" in FOTF - it's like the "it's not the end of the world, it's not even the end of the day" of this album
More listens and good quality will allow me to analyze the shit out of this album. Can't wait.

The thought of you coming out of exile to write boring, meandering and cringey essays on the Gallagher's music is enough to make me want to throw up.
