Such a disappointing album. Can't remember one hook or melody beyond Don't Brother Me.
Wow, these guys REALLY need Noel.

I think Beady Eye could benefit from taking this advice (about writing pop songs first, not acoustic vs. electric). Beady Eye's rockers lack melody (FLW excluded).:
EDIT: Video isn't working. It was just Noel saying "Don't try and write rock songs, write a pop song and then rock it up or whatever else you wanna do, on top.”

well I for one think that this is better than last effort. Agreed. Don't know how much better it is, but it is better. Sounds like it will be a solid album. Don't think it will be great. But I'll definitely take solid

Me, I'm afraid. I was always a F.R.I.E.N.D.S. fan. Who wouldn't want a "friend" like this or with those? A valid point my good sir.

Haven't heard Iz Rite and Ballroom as I haven't found them (so you know..pm ) Edit: Ballroom is absolutely beautiful.

It's one of those songs I could see taking a For Anyone type slide. But Flick of the Finger, Start Anew, and Soon Come Tomorrow are good highlights. Don't Brother Me sounds great except for the outro.

Posting this based on listening to the songs in bad quality (yeah, I said I wasn't going to but what the heck, I got bored). My opinion will probably change once I hear the whole album on release date but for right now here's what I'm thinking... Good songs (the ones I will want to listen to again and again) Flick of the Finger Don't Brother Me Start Anew Soul Love Soon Comes Tomorrow Average songs (aka album tracks, or ones that are filler) Ballroom Figured I'm Just Saying Bad songs (ones I'll probably skip whenever I listen to the album but hey you never know) Second Bite of the Apple Shine A Light Face the Crowd Have yet to hear: Iz Right ok now that I got my thoughts together like this it can't be that bad of an album if I'm liking more songs than I don't like Not going to listen again until better quality though. Thanks to everyone who uploaded links, etc.

I'm one to be able to get over lyrics since its Liam and not Kesha, so I'm Just Saying is phenomenal. I don't care about the counting, this sounds like their best yet. Like a mix of Hello and Some Might Say.

Where on earth did this guy record the songs from? Does anyone know where it is?? It was a mexican guy from a private group on Facebook. He said he found a stream but he can't remember where. He recorded with his phone because he doesn't know how to do it. I don't buy this story. Too bizarre.

I haven’t heard the quality of the leaked tracks but I assume they have been recorded from a stream. I received a link from Sony Music in Australia to stream the album last week (I’m a music journo), but it doesn’t allow me to download until the album is properly released. Anyway it’s my first time posting here but thought I’d put in my two cents about the album. I am disappointed with it. I think FOTF and SBOTA are both great tracks so held high hopes for the record. Iz Rite is a really great song and Soul Love is another stand out. Soon Come Tomorrow is pretty great too (I agree it is kinda bluesy). Face The crowd is probably the most rocking song but it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’m Just Saying is catchy but lyrically it’s pretty bad. From there the album is pretty forgettable. Don’t Brother Me is terrible - up there with Little James. The lyrics are predictable and just very poor. I wish Liam hadn’t released this as I am sure Noel is laughing at it as we speak. Shine a Light, Ballroom Figured and Start Anew sound nice enough but there’s no balls there and the album just ends really flat. Where are the rock songs? This is what Liam does best. I wish hed get back to singing some bigger tunes. I guess I just wanted this album to be great. I love Liam and Beady Eye and Noel and Oasis all equal. Liam sounds 10/10 on this record vocally - can’t fault him at all. There are some excellent ideas on this album and great sounds but the truth is they need Noel. That’s a fact. Let’s just hope they can sort things out one day and get back to being a great band.

Too bizarre. Yeah, no idea. To me it sounded like there was a tv or something on in the background, or maybe a group of people talking, on some of the tracks. (ex. the beginning of Ballroom Figured you can really hear it). That was strange. The tracks weren't on Grooveshark or Spotify like someone suggested, so who knows.

Like a mix of Hello and Some Might Say. No doubt the lyrics are throwaway nonsense. But, it's the first Beady Eye song that's made me smile and that counts for a lot in my book.

Sometimes when they try to have a rock sound, its too much like beatles and stones and flat. When they have melody, its a weaker tune like For Anyone. This one has a good combination of everything.
