Bring on that lovely day  I can't wait to put on the record and ENJOY it! Play it over and over again, in me rockin chair with big headphones on. There's only one or two albums every 2-3 years I really look forward to and this is one of them!! I dont get people slagging the album or Beady Eye off without even having heard the new stuff... Why? Is yer life really that misserable that you can't even look forward to a new Gallagher album anymore? Just enjoy it people, xXx |

I remember back in 1997, going to Virgin Records in Warrington before going to School to get my exam results, Be Here now meant more to me than any poxy GCSE results. Got my average results then straight home to stick the album in my Matsui CD player with Headphones in, reading along with the lyrics.
can't beat things like that.......
Now 31 I'm nowhere near as excited as back then but I still defintely look forward to getting an album like "BE"

I cant wait for that day because it'll stop a lot of crap on the forum. I mean all this 'will beady eye split up...' crap and 'reckon this album will be rubbish' ? We havent heard the full album, lets at least wait to hear it. You know 1 second after its released there'll be 'its crap' despite people listening to it just once. To be fair anyone saying it'll be a stunning album as well are speaking totally over the top. We havent even heard small snippets like we did with DGSS with the preview clips. None of us know either way.
I never was keen on Bring the Light, DGSS was better than i thought it would be but still no way brilliant. But i did enjoy seeing Beady Eye play live, this year we'll get a few Oasis songs as well so i'm looking forward to a few more nights watching them.
Its all good.
But as usual some people just want to troll and slate them non stop. I hate Westlife and Take That, but i dont bother hanging about on their forums whinging constantly about how bad they are.

This forum has been a lot more enjoyable since I started using the 'block' function. If everyone just blocked the idiots who ruin it, then they would effectively cease to exist anyway and they'd soon move on when they stopped getting attention.
Try it people, it works!
And yeah, really looking forward to hearing this as a full album rather than dribs and drabs and preview snippets - and Paul McCarney/Arcade Fire manaagement isn't going to let BDI fail anytime soon I'm sure...

Not a criticism at al Lennon2217 but that's exactly what has killed rock in spirit in my opinion ...this date should be a date to be excited like Christmas Eve or your birthday ...you know it's gonna be a special day you know ? In my day when the smiths , vh , the cure , pink floyd , you know the suspects waiting for the release date and purchasing the record playing itall night then talking about in school or the courtyard was half the fun of process , No wonder sales are low and surprise when listening for the first time is taken away ...gone are the days of waiting at the record shop to buy "the wall" play it and be blown away , your right you won't have to wait ... You'll hear it know it , the anticipation , excitement of opening day has been replaced by rips , downloads and what not ....sad in my opinion and a perfect example as why lp s don't move as well or why a lp release date is met with a Luke warm response .. The fans will have heard it , to me it takes away from the soul of what rock and roll was predicated on...I know times change ......not always for better |

The night when it's leaking is just as exciting i think. Most on here have already bought the album anyway, it just spreads out the releases a bit longer. Album on leak night, World's not set in stone etc on the 10th and Evil Eye/Girls In Uniform whenever it comes out in japan

Was sorta more talking about the culture ya know ? Like getting tickets it was a event you and your friends camping out on the street on a Friday night waiting for 9 am Saturday to come all the shit that went on doing it .. Now it's just wait by the computer and bang you got your seats ...easier yes . Ore memories or fun , no way... Same with the leak night , guess you had to be there man just is not the same IMO definatly not like the 80 s when it was a reason to cut class and go to record store , you felt like you were gettin over on the school , your parents ,, thats all |

Yep born in 92 so I don't know any different really. But it's the same for everything really video games or whatever everybody's too skint to pay for luxuries like music/games so they just think fuck it, i'll download it and then be able to afford the bus to go out later in the week instead (even though I do still buy albums at release or eventually)  I imagine it was pretty cool having the record in your hands for the first time after waiting ages and having to endure the journey home dying to hear it but thankfully having not experienced any of that I can enjoy internet leaks |

I always saw Be Here now as my Oasis album, which is why I still absoloutely love that album to this day (had it on last night on my way home from work)
Just wish there was a couple of acoustic numbers on there.
