SOTSOG has the best production of any Oasis album, but easily the weakest batch of songs. I feel like the Beady Eye album will be remembered for its sterling production but lack of tunes if "Second Bite of the Apple" is anything to go by.

Make this judgement once you hear the album.

I think SOTSOG is great!! Highly underrated.
And also, Jordan is right. How can you judge an album if you only listened to 1 or 2 songs?

Alright, but if nothing else you can't seriously say that the SOTSOG B-sides were anything short of spectacular!

I expect great production but I don't expect a darker album.

SOTSOG is fantastic; it's the last Noel Gallagher written, Liam Gallagher sung Oasis album and for that, I love it.
Great times, great gigs.
We'll see what BE brings.

I THINK BE WILL BE BETTER THAN DEFINITELY MAYBE. (Surprisingly, still not the strangest thing said on this forum due to the trolls mucking about )

Fuckin' In The Bushes, Go Let It Out, Gas Panic, Where Did It All Go Wrong and Roll It Over 5 out of the 10 songs were great. Sunday Morning Call was alright. I sometimes really like Who Feels Love as well. Good album to me

i think "BE" is going to be darker than DGSS, i really hope so, i have to admit. i'm really excited about it. even more than about DOYS, DGSS or HFB.

Best prodction, and strongest, most mature, songs. If BE turns out anything like SOTSOG, I will be very pleased.

sotsog is a 10/10 album. i expect BE to be a 6/10 album, which would be a step in the right direction, with dgss being a 4/10 album.

SOTSOG certainly had its highlights -- "Fuckin' in the Bushes" "Go Let it Out" and "Gas Panic!" are among Noel's finest works. However, much of the rest of the album wouldn't make an Oasis b-side album. My point is that the production of the album was fantastic while most of the tunes weren't up to its quality. We see this with all the clips of the Beady Eye album we've heard thus far. Great production, substandard songwriting.

It is probably between 6.5 and a 7 for me. I expected a lot more since Noel was saying Oasis was entering it's "next phase" and starting the make the albums he always intended. Yeah...that never happened (SOTSOG, HC, DBTT, DOYS).

SOTSOG is amazing. Fucking in the Bushes, Go Let It Out, Who Feels Love, Gas Panic! and Roll It Over are among my favorite tunes ever. It's a shame that the other half of the album is not on par, that's what puts it down. I'm not too keen on the Noel-sung songs but they're alright, I don't think Little James is too bad, but it's not anything near good either, and the other two are among the worst Oasis songs.
If BE ends up BEing a "more-consistent SOTSOG" (the highs not as high, but the lows not as low) I'll be happy.

SOTSOG is Oasis' 6th best studio album weighing in with a paltry 4/10. Only to be beaten into last place by the disgraceful DOYS. FACT.
DGGS is an extremely poor album clocking a 3/10 max. FACT.
Therefore it is highly unlikely that BE can be any worse. My sources say it will be a 6/10, meaning its more than likely worth a 4/10, which still supersedes DGSS.
So at least there is a fanny hair of optimism for most of you guys.

If you put LAMB instead of PYMWYMI you get a whole different album. It's good to see a SOTSOG thread in the BE section.
I'm not really sure what to expect of BE, but i feel it will be better than DGSS, which is an album i don't really dislike, but i don't love.
I've got to the point of knowing that i will always be interested in what Noel and Liam produce, so i don't waste my time thinking who is better than who, so let's hope BE amazes us.

dm, wtsmg, bhn and sotsog are all 10/10 tbh.
hc is kind of 5-6/10ish. it has its highs, but it certainly has its very, very lows.
dbbt i'd say is 7/10. no real highs, but also no horse shit songs like shittle by shittle.
doys: 7,5/10. up to tbwtl it's mega (except for outta time, which is a bit shit, but still alright), then it suddenly becomes horse shit.
