I think this place would be so much better with a "dislike" button so we can report trolls.
It's a pitty that threads with potencial get ruined by idiots every single day, specially when 90% of people here are friendly and are always willing to contribute something to the forum. I'm not saying that everybody has to love everything Liam or Noel do but if you don't like a band don't enter their forum, and if you don't agree with someone else's opinion be respectful.

Not that I need to but just to defend that and not to speak for the others but if you look at the majority of us who have ridiculous amounts of posts. We have been here for quite some time people like , myself ( real date 2003) mimmi , Eva, sticky , caro , lionsden ( like I did on a break now ) n4 le And others all have been here since this was so much more than just a tecnical music breaking down producing questioning place , we were / are here because it was fun still is to fuck around about life and get serious about music , debate to be sure , I had my bad patch but never the way your mentioning , just this place is so much better than others or just reading news or playing solitaire so I prefer my time spent here when I can and I suspect that's why the others do as well . That said your right. But the only way around the nonesense is to let those people win and you leave and if others follow you then it becomes the small place it was back in in 03 when I joined the party ... Or WEBBY just starts banning period ! I am not for banning in general fbut if annoys enough people that may be the answer . All the trolling used to happen on inet and it was quite funny on there to be honest, i don't recall there being much on here around the time that website was popular. Obviously people stopped going there and now they've moved onto here, trouble is the trolling on here is really shit. Cliches that have been done to death "KERMIT, HER HER I MAD FUN OF UR IDOL" If the trolling isn't funny, original or doesn't get steam blowing out of peoples ears then you just look like a sad moron.

There will be over-analysing, criticism and of course trolling. But if you don't like it just don't read the thread. There are many threads in the past too that descended into chaos but I just stopped reading them. And in the end it's just a forum, there's no need to take it so seriously that you have to 'suffer'. I've always said it and I stand my point: It's the people who make a great forum.
I've been on this forum since 2004 and I've seen many people coming and go.
I've also seen some other Oasis related forums went down hill through the years.
This is the first Oasis forum I ever joined and I'm proud of being a part of this forum.
One loves Liam Gallagher, one loves Noel Gallagher, but both love/used to love a band called Oasis.
Oasis break up doesn't mean that you have to hate each other.

Is it Liam's big mouth? (he's been like that since day uno) Is it the mildly
underwhelming first record?
Noel's got a big mouth too and his first album was underwhelming as well.

I think quite a few people on here feel like this. I know everyone is intitled to their opinion and that's cool, and I'm all for having a bit of banter but some of it is almost abusive at times, which is a shame.
None of us have heard the new album, yet already some of us have decided that it's going to be awful and that the sales will be bad. Those who complain that they wanted Beady Eye to try something new are now moaning that it's not what they wanted. I think some people on here are the type who if you gave them a tenner, would complain it isn't £20!
Also find it silly that we can't like both Noel's solo stuff and Beady Eye, and that on ocassions people have been shouted down for this. It's crazy, we're all here because of our love for Oasis and Noal & Liam and it's grown from that. I'm glad that we still get to hear Noel's songs and Liam's voice. I still think Four Letter Word is Beady Eye's best song but I like what I've heard so far from BE and can't wait for the album to come out. If other people don't like it then fair enough, but I hope it is a success.
Sorry, that went on a bit longer then I expected! Here's to the 10th June...

I just don't get it. i really think most people just blame Liam for everything, because Noel did it. all the people writing stuff like "Noel = GOD" are fuckin blinded in my opinion. sure i love them, have learned much by them, lived more through their music etc. etc. but i don't have to love or hate everything they do (like all the manchester city lovers, cause oasis loves them, or say that everything the gallaghers say is true. here are too much people, that don't get the difference between being fan or being stucked with their heads in the ass of a gallagher |
