I know this thread's been done half to death, but new tour coming out, with a slight indication of what BE will sound like, there may be some fresh ideas... Okay, what Oasis songs are they going to play on the tour? We'll assume Morning Glory and Rock 'n' Roll Star will be played...
Just added a poll of a few I think are most likely, just for a bit of fun...

I personally don't think they'll play more than 2-3 Oasis songs. They'll obviously play at least 3-4 songs from the first album plus already 17 new songs have been announced so the bulk of the set list will comprise of songs from BE.
Turn Up The Sun Songbird Cigarettes and Alcohol
would be the favourites IMO, but since Liam said Beady Eye would play some obscure Oasis songs I really have no idea what they'll play. Should be really interesting to see which ones they end up picking.

I voted for Turn Up The Sun and Songbird but All Around The World would be AWESOME, my favourite song from the entire Oasis catalogue... Well it's just daydreaming I guess?

I really don't think they will play any of Noels songs any more.
They always hinted in early Beady Eye interviews, when asked about playing Oasis songs, that they had written some good ones and would think about doing them when touring album 2/3.
Personally I'd love to hear Morning Glory and Rock'n'Roll star played. But do beady eye really want to be known as the band playing Noel's songs it would only add fuel to the arguement that the rest of oasis cannot survive without Noel.
There are about 3 of 4 songs which I reckon would have sounded good in last albums tour such as Turn up the Sun and Born on a different cloud.
Bell/Archer and Liam all wrote great songs for Oasis on the last 2/3 albums! Lets hear some of them and lets fuckin' ave it!

I'd be more than happy if they played Supersonic, Shakermaker, Roll with it.
I cant say i'm keen on the way Noel does Supersonic, that song was made for Liam's voice.

It has been my opinion for a long long time that Beady should mainly stick to their new band material. If they dive into the Oasis catalogue, I also prefer they select songs they wrote! Songs like Turn Up The Sun, Songbird, A Bell Will Ring, Eyeball Tickler, Pass Me Down The Wine, I'm Outta Time, Boy With The Blues, etc.

They could turn some of their own lesser played Oasis tracks into live favourites.

Honestly I'm still kind of appalled that they play songs they didn't write themselves. I understand that Liam was a big part of them, but it just seems... Wrong.

I think they might keep Morning Glory and ROck'n'Roll Star... maybe add something more 'obscure' as Liam mentioned such as Headshrinker....
I wish they did Champagne Supernova... is the one classic song that wouldn't miss any backing vocals from Noel (and he refuses to play it by himself) and Gem and Andy could do a kick ass solo

They dont need to play Oasis songs, theyve got 30-ish of their own songs which should provide plenty decent songs for a live set. If anything, they should do something obscure like Bring It On Down or Headshrinker - or even Andy's Take A Step Into My World, how cool would that be cool?

If they are going to do two Oasis songs out of 17 I couldn't care less who wrote the ones they decide to play although I would prefer them to be on the obscure side. Two tunes a night won't really take away anything tbh.

I was thinking about 1 different oasis song each gig heh and rotating between 4 songs, should be alright.

i don't care what Oasis songs they cover/play, but Andy, Gem or webm@ster should sing the backing vocals.....do those songs justice for christ sake. God bless.

I doubt it. Noel soundchecked it on the DOYS tour so I imagine it was Liam's choice not to bring it back.

Liam said that they were going to play some obscure Oasis songs, Gas Panic maybe? When did he say this? Noel pulled out a few obscure Oasis song's here & there on his tour. I think it would be great to hear Beady Eye do the same! Songs that haven't been played much or ever would be a bonus for me. They should ditch Morning Glory though.

I understand why people would say 'play the songs that they wrote,' but the reason they played/will play Oasis songs is because the crowd are guaranteed to react to them. It'd be a bit pointless playing A Bell Will Ring or Boy With The Blues as the majority of the crowd wouldn't be arsed about it in the slightest. If they do play Oasis songs it'll be the anthems
