The thought of Liam singing the bridge at the end of Record Machine tantalises me more than anything other than the thought of him singing DLBIA. Would be so good. "You can't give me a reason I don't need one to shine, you can't give me the feeling 'cos they're already mine, 'cos I'm one in a million and if the sun don't rise on my soul, then I'll blow" Written for Liam isn't it? Liam on NME "Our Kid has been writing response songs to me for the past fucking 20 years. He's built a career out of it. I'd go back as far as the early Oasis songs, mate."

Ha ha! Yeah I don't think Noel wrote about Liam. The lyrics I quoted I meant that they were perfect for Liam's attitude.

I'm still a huge fan of Liam's voice even now. But I seriously doubt that even in the studio Liam could sing Come on, Outside as long as Noel wanted to keep it in that key. They'd have to 'For Anyone' the vocals which would make the delivery far too weak imo. Noel should be singing it then which means there was no excuse for it not going on DOYS!

It's not that good today and Noel had years to rework it, so maybe he didn't like it that much then, or he was saving it for later. Who knows. I'm still hoping for a demo version of RM to come out with Liam's voice like LDSMD a few years ago. Who would have think it existed ? Liam implied that he sang of this on STC in a itw, so I'm sure it might exist somewhere, like the DLBIA demo exists with his voice. So many treasures, at the very worse, it'll come out when Noel's dead and Anais or Donovan want to make some money.

If they had this song, boy with the blues and record machine on that album it'd be their best. Fucking wasted opportunity but oh well

Oh I'm sure all these little treasures will come out one day in an epic Oasis anthology box set. Loads of material to select from. Most of it we have never heard of.

Come On Outside is a cracking tune but I don't think it'll be on the next record. Noel recorded it in 2010, if he intended to put it out he would've included it in the High Flying Birds album. Sadly I think Noel has either passed it over or forgotten about it. I don't think it appeared on High Flying Birds for the reason that it wouldn't really flow with the album. To be honest, there's no 'rock' songs on that album, which I found really refreshing about the album. It's a good tune but nothing we haven't heard before and it sounds very Dig Out Your Soul like from Noel. I think it would be best left as a b-side. Freaky Teeth is far more enjoyable for me personally, more driving and fun I think.

That's true, though I hope Come On Outside see's the light of day in some form in the future either as an album track or a b-side. Then again Freaky Teeth has made that task a little more difficult, considering that they sound similar I doubt Noel will even release it as a b-side on album #2 at least.

At least the demo of Come on outside is a pretty good recording. The freaky teeth demo is awful.

The freaky teeth demo is awful. it's not a demo though is it? with the choir and all, it's a finished Oasis track that is simply unmastered, or, in the same way that 'Lyla' was, might have been tweaked slightly with a few re-recorded parts.

Yeah I'd agree with Smiley here. It is basically the finished Oasis track where Noel has laid down a vocal similar to Lyla / Lord Don't Slow Me Down. I believe Liam would have sung over this music had it been released. It doesn't fit with any of the High Flying Birds album or demo sessions which we have heard. I also think the Freaky Teeth, Dream On, Wrong Beach and Soldier Boys demos are from the side sessions which Noel mentioned when the band were recording Dig Out Your Soul. The toy drums, style of singing and sound quality are pretty consistent.
