Following up from the Definitely Maybe thread of the same ilk ( here), now it's time to work out which are the best tracks on Morning Glory! For the purpose of this album, i shall be ignoring the (untitled) tracks My list is as follows: 1) Morning Glory - probably because it looks to be so epic live my opinion has been swayed, but man, can it be beaten in a stadium setup? 2) Champagne Supernova - close with the above, this works better on album, with some of the little touches being what amkes it for me. 3) She's Electric - the apparent filler track here is among the best things Oasis ever did. 4) Wonderwall - need I say more? 5) Hello - a great album opener I love more than I should. 6) Don't Look back In Anger - anthemic, but it'd just missing something... no idea what though. 7) Some Might Say - great, but doesn't fit on the album if you ask me. Than again, being a drummer the difference puts me off. 8) Cast No Shadow - Great Backing Vocals, but not quite perfect and I don't know why. 9) Bonehead's Bank Holiday - I enjoy this wayy too much for my own good. 10) Roll With it - throwaway pop. 11) Hey Now! - who stalled my Lamborghini? Final Rankings as of 11/05/2013 @ 12:24 (GMT) 1) Champagne Supernova - 121 2) DLBIA - 133 3) Wonderwall - 140 4) Some Might Say - 143 5) Morning Glory - 146 6) Cast no Shadow - 201 7) Hello - 215 8) She's Electric - 258 9) Roll With It - 263 10) Hey now! - 322

1) Don't Look Back in Anger 2) Some Might Say 3) Champagne Supernova 4) Morning Glory 5) Cast no Shadow (Gotta love the harmonies between two voices in the bridge) 6) Wonderwall 7) Hello 8) Hey Now (Even thouhg it features an annoying extra verse and chorus. I'll pretend it doesn't) 9) She's Electric 10)Roll With It
I wonder where would I put Step Out (Noel meant it to be in this album). I guess right above Hey Now.

Wonderwall - its the one that got me into the band. and its perfect. Cast No Shadow - always overlooked but one of their best lyrics Hello - terrific but made even better live in the HC tour Roll With It - throwaway pop maybe but its perfect and uplifting Morning Glory - love it on the album, live is pretty good too but done to death kind of She's Electric - the classic single that never was Some Might Say - what can i say? its great. Don't Look Back in Anger - love it of course, but not as much as the rest of you it seems Champagne Supernova - always a classic but better live
Swamp Song - i love how they used the two small clips, works really well
Hey Now - good song but least best here, overstays its welcome

I can't believe 99% of the people hear WTSMG without Bonehead's Bank Holiday. I personally have never heard it without that song. It fits in great into the album.
Anyway this is even more difficult than the Definitely Maybe list but here goes...
01. Some Might Say 02. Don't Look Back In Anger 03. Hello 04. Cast No Shadow 05. Wonderwall 06. She's Electric 07. Bonehead's Bank Holiday 08. Morning Glory 09. Champagne Supernova 10. Hey Now 11. Roll With It 12. Untitled (Swamp Song snippets)
I love all the songs equally, really kills me to put songs from this album lower down on the list.

1. Roll With It 2. Hello 3. She's Electric 4. Some Might Say 5. Wonderwall 6. Dont Look Back In Anger 7. Cast no Shadow 8. Hey now 9. Morning Glory 10. Champagne Supernova 11. Swamp Song snippets
I like the first 9 songs equally, only the swamp song parts and Champagne Supernova are a bit below that.

Agree, fcuking love Roll With It, one of the highlights of the album.
1. Morning Glory 2. Roll With It 3. Don't Look Back In Anger 4. Some Might Say 5. Wonderwall 6. Champagne Supernova 7. Hello 8. Hey Now! 9. Cast No Shadow 10. She's Electric
As opposed to DM, WTSMG doesn't have clear top tunes like DM does, but a lot of tunes similar in quality, imo.
So, with DM my top 4 tunes were clear favourites of mine ahead of the rest, for WTSMG, the difference between the top 6 is very small.

I can't believe 99% of the people hear WTSMG without Bonehead's Bank Holiday. I personally have never heard it without that song. It fits in great into the album. I think BBH has a great melody behind it, bit I think Noel could have made a much better song out of it. But in no way would I put that ahead of "classic" Oasis track like you have? But each to their own.

But they're all still classics IMO, that's why it was really hard to rate this one.

I kinda had the same with DLBIA, around 2000 I needed a break from it, but then it was rejuvenated when Noel and Gem did the STC gigs.

1. Some Might Say 2. Morning Glory 3. Cast No Shadow 4. Champagne Supernova 5. Hello 6. Don't Look Back In Anger 7. Roll With It 8. She's Electric 9. Wonderwall 10. Hey Now

Some Might Say Wonderwall Morning Glory Champagne Supernova Cast No Shadow Hello Don't Look Back In Anger Hey Now! Roll With It She's Electric
If Step Out made it in the album, I'd probably rank it after Hey Now and if Bonehead's Bank Holiday made all editions, I would put that after Step Out.
