I'm sorry to hear that. I'm hoping they do. I was at work when it all went down. I want a physical version so I am going to wait until there is a physical deluxe version available. Not preordering a stardard version. I can get that anytime and I'm ineligible for the gig tickets so there is no reason to preorder. I preordered both DGSS and HFB and there was really no point. I actually ended up getting them after I could have picked them up in stores. Same. Why bother pre-ordering the version that will be available anytime, anywhere? I was all gung-ho about the pre-order, and now it's such a let-down.

I really do miss the physical CD singles. I can burn them onto CD after downloading but it jsut doesn't feel right. Releasing an EP with all the bsides together would be great and most "cost efficient" then individual singles perhaps. I really hope they'll do some sort of release along those lines! A Masterplan sort of record. I don't see why I should pay hard-earned money for a bunch of MP3s when I'm just going to have to create the CD myself, and have it be a grotty homemade thing instead of a legitimate release by the band.

...Anyone else feel the same way? I'm really annoyed too. Annoyed to the point where - rather than be manipulated into buying the album twice to get a CD copy AND the digital tracks - I'll probably bypass the record company altogether and just get this album via "unofficial" means. I think the days of trying to keep my Oasis/Beady Eye/Noel Gallagher CD collection complete are over as they're just making it too hard.

I don't think that whoever is making these decisions is taking into account Oasis's history. They're a band that released albums and singles, with the singles containing unique tracks, and there was always enough to go around. not sure where you live but here in the united states, many times (espcially back in the 90's), if you wanted a cd single of a song your only choice was to buy the 'import' version, which at that time went for $10-$15, sometimes even $20 bucks. all for the 'a-side', and a couple other 'b-side' tracks. i always saw it as a money grab by the greedy record companies. another reason why illegal downloading became so rampant in the late-90's and early 2000's. people were tired of paying $15 bucks for a couple of songs they really wanted (either from an expensive cd single, or an album with only one or two good songs, and the rest of them shit - oasis excluded.)

I never experienced that, as I was just a kid in the 90s, and not yet into music. But what I meant was that enough copies were actually printed that people could get their hands on what they needed for their collection, even if they were overpriced. Beady Eye are not even printing enough for the fans they have, as we clearly saw with the vinyl singles that are even now being scalped on eBay.

I'm holding out hope for the vinyl, but I'm not feeling optimistic about it. It'll probably be another useless way-too-limited edition. And I sort of doubt anyone will listen to complaints like yours or mine.

(i never have that kind of luck, by the way!)... they really should look at the bigger picture and realize that while this will be a great collector's item for the hardcore fans, at the same time so many more will be missing out.

Would it not make more sense to wait until Amazon/HMV start offering the album before worrying about having up double dip? Odds are that both versions will be sold by other outlets. Feel free to get angry if I am wrong

I agree about Downloads to be honest, can't stand them and wish bands would just release all the songs on CD's like they used to. Sure have MP's for the saddo's who actually want them, but fucking release the CD's aswell. Its not just Beady Eye that do it though tbf, Arctic Monkeys are the same, if you want their b-sides now days you HAVE to download, you have no choice and it fucking sucks IMO

What we really should be discussing, is why people still use CD's !?

What we really should be discussing, is why people still use CD's !? Because it's there to keep and you just put the disc in when you wanna listen to it. They still do vinyl releases so why not CD's? I like my CD collection and hate that i can't get the songs i like on a fucking disc.

What we really should be discussing, is why people still use CD's !? Unless you D/L for free... Because every single digital file you buy isn't yours, you just pay to use them. If someday Itunes or spotify cease to exist, you will have no music left. It's not likely to happen, but still. CD's are cheap nowadays and they're yours, forever.

In that case I'd need to be an iTunes or Spotify user, but I see your point. I'll stick to buying the mp3 version, transfer it to my devices of choice and keep a backup on my hard drive.

What we really should be discussing, is why people still use CD's !? Yeah, why worry about having our music in 1000+ bitrate with the flexibility to forever convert it to any current or future lossy format we desire when we can instead have it locked at 320 or below in an already degraded format. Buying music digitally is akin to mugging yourself. You own nothing in reality and have no collection to pass on/down. Awesome.

Deluxe version on CD is back on sale on the official site..... So it is! Hey, anybody reading this... I was able to order my 15-track CD by first switching my country to UK with the drop-down menu in the upper left corner, then when entering my billing info, changing it back to USA. Try it out! Good luck!

deluxe version isn't being marketed as limited, so as usual I reckon it'll be readily available. it's just marketing to make people want to buy it more - makes no sense to limit its availability when people can download so easily these days - they want our money lol! no point in limiting the deluxe version then having everyone buy the less expensive standard edition and download the extra four tracks illegally

That is so awesome dude I would have killed to be old off enough to be there around that time! Yeah times change man, and haha thanks man! You know the coolest part jordan71421. ? It was so natural , like we would be hanging out at Sara silverman ,'s apt in the village she dated jay me Louie jay Sara who roommates Polly and Allison would all be just gettin stoned watching like Star Wars and shit , ordering food at 4 am From the diner and do that shit nite after nite. Til they all went there separate ways. Dave attel . ( comic ) was there as well. It was so cool but nobody was famous just starving comics who loved gettin high and watching movies , I was just a bouncer there who hung out with them , nothing special just like they werent. That's why they are so cool ... I saw Dave at a club in Orlando. Doing a set. Didnt think he recognized me. And then during the set he always smokes and outta nowhere he goes hey T ( my nickname ) gimme a light , swear to god ... Then preceded to rag on me about my hair for ten minutes. After the set he came over and was like I saw you from the start but was thinkin of a way to work it in act , he improvised it on the fly True story nice one. it's good when people remember who they hung with in the early days after they have moved on and up. hadn't figured you for a bouncer though!

Another lifetime ago man .... Was more security ( ended doing private ) I'm just old and use old terms like cat and bag Ect ect ... Made my money as the vets that I am friends here know as a bartender/ security ( bouncer ). It allowed for a very flex SKED. Which allowed me to travel extensively ... And payed real well in NYC. Ended up doing alot of personal security shit which was more precautionary than reactionary. , but worked the strip club , night club circuit providing security ( bounce ) for many years ... Had a blast. Saw alot. Made alot of connections like those cats all who were starving. At the time .... Now just sorta chill in Florida enjoying sunshine ...but thanks man. . Edit. Heebeegebe. Only responded to a question not hijacking and hadn't posted in thread since our pm. Mate Oh and on the security note @smiley in case it ever interests you or anyone else Who wants to pursue the field ...It's a cool Job but has no benefits so save it ! Also I was kinda big now more athletic. Into more cross training. But I got paid well not cause not only cause I am real good with my hands and took and several martial arts courses but cause I knew how to diffuse a situation and only used the physical part when necessary as a last resort ..you don't have to be a steroid junkie to bounce in fact you may look good and get a gig ..but you'll never make the good money in private sector without personality and education and want to avoid violence at all costs and concentrate on the precautionary side .of knowing when trouble is occurring or how to prevent it from starting ..just in case you or anyone is considering it as a field. And I know of one who recently pm Ed me. So if you read this. Take that advise if nothing else man

I was able to order a Deluxe CD yesterday...at first it appeared to be MP3 only, but then I noticed there was an option to choose between the two. The autographed ones were sold really fast and I think a lot of people overlooked this option. I already have confirmation and everything.
