Ya think  . One of 5 best concerts I ever saw at the old felt forum ( now called paramount theatre ) in MSG. ,.. Like 81 or 82. Man they freakin tore it up " London's burnin with boredom now !!!! ". They tore the roof off with that tune man.  you got me in the mood for the Clash...... i happened upon this mix on youtube, have you heard it? it definitely goes somewhere..... fuck yeah! this version has quickly become one of my favorite Clash songs and that's saying something, kalas.... i've been freaky deakying and moving nonstop to it since last night... those drums are not flat! fuck yeah! |

Have you listened to The La's record, on a decent stereo? It's one of the quietest records in existence. Sounds like it's coming out of a fucking tin can. The songs and guitar playing are brilliant, easily knocking the shit out of Nirvana and Pixies. But the production is absolutely horrid. Much like your posts.

I don't know what to make of all this. Sometimes I really hate Twitter too (though it's good for some things). I mean...recently One Direction and The Wanted got into the news because of their Twitter war. I don't care about either of those bands. But it's not very nice to see Beady Eye embroiled in a similar Twitter feud, no matter who/what started it and who's right/wrong. Lillywhite said this about a half hour ago: Steve Lillywhite CBE @sillywhite @stockholmonster I will be telling all . Don't you worry. I was quiet but now a can has been opened and not by me  I hope this doesn't drag on and become ugly (uglier than it already is). |

No disrespect to you bruno, but I have been an oasis fan for longer than you and I'm pretty sure from experience what Liam will do, he'll either tweet something offensive, go all out on Lillywhite from the off in his next interview or keep pretty quiet until he inevitably gets asked about it somewhere down the line I'm quite looking forward to it tbh, Lillywhite seems like a massive douche and he was one of the reasons why DGSS was such a fail imo |

edit: wanted to add to this before the liam fanboys start getting on my case. lillywhite's style of production is bare bones. no bells or whistles, just the band and the music. the songs stand on its own. the songs have to be there, and they have to be good when you use this style of producing. if not, it shows. when the songs are mediocre, the mediocrity glares.
basically, pinning DGSS on lillywhite is like blaming bad driving on a car manufacturer. there were some pretty good tracks on there, but their songs were, on the most part, mediocre. there's only so much a producer can do with songs like "wind up dream" and "standing on the edge of the noise."
