OMG Liam uses drugs! Stop the presses! I wouldn't doubt it was true personally. Even Liam doesn't deny using drugs. The fact that he was using them in studio disappoints me...but no one on this board can seriously think that Liam is clean...can they? I think there some that think that. I personally don't. I think behind the walls of the studio,,he chops one out ... We will never know cause as you know he will always say the direct opposite. The very next day or day after that .. Then say he never said it , sorta love that about him . I think Liam views the studio as high school ya know away from the wife and kids and what happens there stays there , so unless its a strictly enforced drug free work zone I gotta think he chops out the line now and again . He never says when he's on drugs directly. But a few times a year he says something about having laid of the drugs and having not had anything the past *fill in the blank*. When DGSS came out he said it had been months and that he was laying off the drugs and alcohol for the tour. I don't think he denies drugs when he's using them. He's really rarely asked about drug use surprisingly... |

I'm pretty sure Liam dabbles from time to time. As long as he isn't doing when the kids are about I really couldn't give a shit and I personally don't think he does.

Liam's vanity and dare I say common sense would prevent him from stooping to the pitiful levels of the archetype 'junkie rocker'. Nothing he says, however, ever carries much weight; he plays the media much better than he plays his Gibson by maintaining a very cavalier attitude toward fact. Remember when he announced that he'd given up drinking? That lasted five minutes as did his fitness regime on the Heath. Moreover, he wad clearly on the gear at the Brits backstage after the Peter Kay blow up. I've partied a bit myself and I know how it ravages you. Like Liam, I'm now on the wrong side of 35 and Father Time has made me slow down a great deal. It kills you as you get older (and I don't have to go out and sing in front of thousands). As someone who's smashed it for a long while, Liam would do well to genuinely knock it on the head IMO- he has a lot still to prove with his new record and that once soaring voice as he himself said is more frequently than not, 'battered'. Let's face it, the sort of circles Liam moves in are not conducive to moderation. Who would really know but he seems like an all or nothing kinda guy. I think it would be alarming if there were still shinanigans in the studio- we all saw the folly of that approach on Be Here Now. However, were Liam to choose sobriety, I would sorely miss classic coked up quotes like, 'my ears are in f**king pain from listening to your f**king whining you twat'- Pinkpop Festival 2000 |
