My question to Steve Lillywhite is, as a producer, if he thought the tracks were weak, wasn't it his job to tell them, to challenge them, to maybe make the record shorter but put the strongest tracks on it (cause there are some good tracks on DGSS), etc.
Isn't that the point of a producer? That's what Dave Sardy did, seems to be what Dave Sitek did with Beady Eye this time around.

I think he believed in the calibre of the artists he was working with, ex-oasis members, so that would do it regardless if the songs weren't there. |

Then received a swift "Fuck off, you're not Noel, we're doing it our way" in reply. So he got the recording done then said; "Ok fellas, my work here is done. Good luck with that." |

Because it's an Oasis forum and not a Beady Eye forum. If you want everyone to like Beady Eye, then maybe you should try out a Beady Eye forum. That is the kind of thing Noel seemed to take care of in Oasis so maybe they had to learn it in a way. |

I visited it a bit in early 2011 and there were a lot of trolls there too. when I thought about posting, I imagined that if people have enough interest they'll follow them anywhere. dunno about the forum. |

I've started to think that it will never change in the beady eye section, I thought things were terrible before the layout change and the block feature was introduced then things seemed to be on the up when Flick of the Finger was released as people seemed to dig it on the whole but now we've got douches like Ash&Debris and Ltrain whilst tossers like leak4ever and epiphone100 are still sniffing around the beady eye sections... There are far too many trolls in the beady eye section which is a shame because they ruin it for all the good users who post good stuff in the beady eye section and are genuinely interested in what music Liam and the boys make |

I'm thinking about starting a Beady Eye forum up soon, this section is completely ruined now, it really is. I'm all for people voicing their opinion but certain members come in and just ruin every single thread with their constant shit, if you don't like Beady Eye can't you just stay away? If I had no interest in a band I wouldn't even think about going in that section and posting, never mind going in and wasting hours trying to get a rise out of other members, so so sad.
Why don't these members get a warning, even better - banned? It's not fair on us who actually enjoy and want to have proper discussions about Beady Eye.
But yeah, I've had enough now, PM me if you're interested in a forum just for Beady Eye, things are only going to get worse here unfortunately when the album comes out.
