I remember when Liam said on the Definitely Maybe DVD how much he disliked the idea of a "random fucking picture" as the album cover... lol, yeah.
I'm sure the new BE album will knock our socks off, and apparently everything else, but I think I would've preferred the album cover to just consist of the album name "BE" with that same color palette.

The only ones I truly don't like are HFB and HC. Super ugly. DM is my fave.

cant believe there is no hatred for the DBTT artwork! awful awful awful artwork!
i do like the simplicity of the BE cover! its looks cool. no issue with the mild nudity, its just a woman! i'm sure the supermarket argument will come up and people who stock zoo and nuts magazine will be OUTRAGED by the BE cover art. morons.

At least it's not "Blind Faith". That was just asking for fucking trouble.
I don't think the covers can be truly appreciated until they are seen in Vinyl sleeve form. (As with most records) There are tons of little details like the Good, The Bad, And The Ugly scene on DM, or the intricate little tributes/designs on DOYS, that can't even be SEEN unless you have the full 12 inch sleeve.

I don't think there's any one album cover I hate, although there's a couple that I don't like as much. I actually kind of like the DBTT cover  --I like the black and white, and the shape makes it look like a rising planet or a distorted lens or something. I'm not that big a fan of the HC cover (LOL Bruno at the washing machine - very true). It just doesn't seem as interesting as some of the other ones. I like the colouring of the SOTSOG cover and the Oasis font at the top. I enjoy the randomness of BHN, and I like how everyone's positioned on the DM cover. And I like the psychedelic look of DOYS. WTSMG is all right for me, but I do like the central image of two people passing each other on a road. DGSS just confused me at first But I've grown to like it. The HFB cover is okay (I do like the lights though), but I would have preferred the single cover for The Death of You and Me instead. And as for the new BE cover, it's intriguing and I like the colouring. But I think I would have liked what we saw on the BE website, though, just the pale colour with the weird skin/sand (whatever it is) on the bottom. |
