Well i tried asking Chris and Jay about the new single, they said it was the second one. They did mention Flick of the Finger so i'm surprised if that is a new single but when i tried asking the rest of the band (Gem again a top bloke, very friendly) they werent giving much away.
They were then off to somewhere else (Heard one of their roadies mention it was 5 minutes away) so obviously part of the same video.
It was an old country pub on the outskirts of Accrington so considering what 'flick of the finger' is kinda about i cant put those two together.
Honestly its a very surreal experience, its like when a girl meets Take That or something. Theres me 40 years old, lost for words as i've finally met my idol after 15 years. Surreal.

RESULT ! Just come back, went to the only pub with 'dog' in the name in Acrrington Met Liam, top top bloke, very friendly. As i had my dog with me (hes a blind staffie) Liam was asking about the dog a fair bit ! Didnt recognise Jay the new guitarist as he came out to take pictures of my dog, felt stupid after when i realised who he was ! When the band came out got pictures with all of them. They were shooting the video for the second single, said obviously there'll be a lot of touring once the album is out. Had a good chat with Jay as hes american (and i love american footy), spoke about the Eagles (as his family are from Philly). A great great day. Top marks to the landlords daughter who was taking in paper for the band to sign so i've got their autographs. Liam looked great, all the band looked like total rock stars. Brilliant !! Knew i should have jumped on a bus earlier

This first single really is a mystery! Nice one mate.

No worries. Hope you dont think my excitement is 'showing off', just over the moon after all these years i've met him. Very odd seeing him (and the band) in videos for years and years and then meeting them. Top blokes all of them, Jay the new guitarist I chatted to the most, very nice bloke, very excited about the group and the touring and is well up for it.
Right i've hardly done any work this afternoon but as i told my mates 'if Carlsberg did afternoons off work.....' this would have been it !
Back to work !

Anyone else notice that the Shortlist interview says FOTF is the track Zane'll be playing? Maybe it was supposed to be, but the track was played prematurely on US radio and they changed their minds cos BBC had the exclusive.... (and Shortlist never got the memo). Still, that's weird that that was going to be a single. Or maybe he was just going to play it as an album track! Too many possibilities. It's "blowin' my mind". www.shortlist.com/entertainment/music/liams-firm

Apparently, the video is 70's themed and is in Black and White.
Theres another day of recording, however.

can we imagine anything like "lonely boy" from the black keys? "we" meaning you, then yes. "we", meaning me and others, on the other hand will not!

Unbelievable! Was meant to going to my dad's today who lives 30 seconds walk away from the dog. Absolutely gutted. Seems a very strange place to film a video as Bash by and large is a bit of a shithole.

Another article, from the Manchester Evening News www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music/new-fans-oasis-beady-eye-2583812New fans for Liam at pub video shoot 11 Apr 2013 10:07
His band Beady Eye may be taking an 'experimental' new direction for album number two, but going back to his traditional roots is what Liam wanted to do for his new video Amy and Molly Brennan and friend Holly Kenyon spotted a film crew outside the Dog and Partridge pub on Wednesday, April 10 while out with dad Ian and decided to investigate.
He's just announced his band Beady Eye will be taking an “expiremental” new direction for their second album, but Liam Gallagher returned to very traditional roots to shoot his new video.
For Liam chose old-fashioned boozer the Dog and Partridge in Accrington to film the video with his bandmates – to the surprise of residents there.
Burnage boy Liam announced yesterday that Beady Eye’s new album will be called BE, and will see the rockers experiment with cassette tapes, iPhone apps and samplers for a fresh new sound.
And they certainly wasted no time in heading up here to film a video for what is likely to be the first new song off the album, Flick of the Finger.
Needless to say, the presence of the famous rocker caused something of a stir in the village of Baxenden when they set up filming at the pub.
Schoolgirls Amy and Molly Brennan and friend Holly Kenyon spotted the film crew outside the pub and with dad Ian they decided to investigate.
Ian said: “I asked them what it was all about and they didn’t want to say anything at first but then they told us it was Liam Gallagher.
“As we walked back up the road he came out, it was quite surreal seeing him at our local boozer. The girls were quite scared when I went to talk to him but he was nice as pie.
“I asked him for photos with the girls and he was chatting to them telling them his mum was a dinner lady and asking if they were off school.
“People always say he’s mad but he was really sound.”
Ian added the girls – Amy, 14, Holly, 13 and Molly, 10, had heard of the former Oasis legend but admitted they were more One Direction fans.
He said: “As soon as they got home they were watching Liam and the band online, it was exciting for them, I think they’re fans now.”
After word got out of Gallagher’s appearance people flocked to the pub to catch a glimpse of the rocker.
Earlier in the day our beady eyed moles spotted Liam at Piccadilly train station where he arrived with bandmates for the long day of filming ahead.
Can’t wait to see the results!
