I was thinking maybe they just got the idea from The Style Council since they put the same quote on the back of their Cafe Bleu LP. It wouldn't be a stretch since Liam's a fan of Paul Weller too. But it's definitely an interesting choice anyway. Makes me curious about the rest of the songs on this new album and whether they'll contain more political material like this as well.

I wouldn't want the entire album to politically heavy, but I am quite please so far with this song and its political undertones. Our society as a collective whole is in a current state of Keeping up with the Kardashians; consume, consume CONSUME. With corporations laughing all the way to bank and our natural resources in dismal amounts. Rock n Roll is suppose to insight an array of feelings and expressions, I feel at this time that songs that can potentially awaken someone to the evils government leaders propagate among its citizens and start a movement to stop The Man, is a step in the right direction. People are starting to wake up, albeit very slowly

Nice detective work re: the Style Council there. Had no idea of that.
I really like the quote, I think it speaks volumes, more and more everyday. Should get it on a t-shirt or something.
