Last album Bring The Light was a song they were really unsure about until "they fucked it up with some mad piano" and it ended up as the first thing we heard from DGSS. Same thing with this song, it was never gonna make the album until the producer completely changed it around and added a horn section, another weak song that's been turned around as the first thing we hear.
I like the song but my god Liam sounds so nasal!

Strange, bizarre, unexpected, but not bad at all ! I didn't expect this kind of music, so I don't know what to think about it for the moment. It's hard to believe that Beady Eye and Liam did that.... (in a goog way !)
Brass are great. I regret a catchy chorus, but it will at least have the merit to draw attention to the arrangements and production.
Can't wait the rest of the album !

The more I listen to it, the less I care for the lack of the chorus.

I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. But this came as a great surprise! This is way, way better and more original than any song on DGSS. Well done boys, now I am a lot more optimistic about the new album!

Don't you thing the brass parts are close to "Knock on wood" ?

Anyone else think that this leaking will force Beady Eye to make an official announcement or something today?

Still growing on me. I think it'll be huge in better quality.
I cringe at "I feel myself getting the fear", though.

Production is fantastic. Some of the lyrics are ace, some are a bit crap. Love the arrangement, horns and melody - rather than being instantly catchy on the first listen, it worms it's way in with repeated listens and stays put. I'm pleased that Liam has learnt from "I'm Outta Time" and/or Sitek made sure - if you're going to put a sample of a speech on a song, put it loud enough in the mix that it can actually be heard. Liam's voice sounds imperial and for once with a BE song, the running time is just right. Something to believe in 9/10
Tidied the lyrics up, there were a few mistakes in the ones posted earlier:
Woke up this morning, I was laid out flat on the dark side, With the moon and the room on the wrong side
I took a needle, sewed myself right back at the seams, I saw my universal gleam
I see the wonder of life and look for the wall, Just taking a walk in the sun
In time, in just a second, like the ghost of a bad idea, I feel myself getting the fear
Come on, have we decided if we like being part of the plan The sands are shifting and there’s nowhere to land
It's on, it doesn't matter if all of these tickets are sold And all the old stories are told
I know, you’re gonna tell me that you hear every word I say But the future gets written today, yeah the future gets written today

I honestly hope the other songs are better. This didn't strike me, but I hope it's a grower. I was expecting a loud stomping tune with a great guitar solo and I miss the chorus. I loved DGSS.
Wonder how this would sound live. It would work better I think.

Production's great Vocals are great The brass is great
I dunno... It's doesn't blow me away but I think it's a grower which certainly isn't a bad thing... I was waiting for something to end the song and all I got was that weird quote at the end but you never know, in a years time I might be stating that that quote is a stroke of genius...

Heard it again just now, well it's a good song, chorus or no chorus but I'm afraid if this is the new Beady Eye single, IMO it doesn't have a chance chart wise.

Who cares about singles? The main thing is the album, I'm waiting for the album but I love the song
